Hi fellow tradganger's... My JD Berry Vixen moved in with me last night... All I can say is that she was worth the wait . Seven long months of anticipation are over and she has stole my heart. She's 66" long and 54# @ 26" just like I requested. Five lams of Bamboo, an Osage riser accented with African Wenge and beautiful brown glass on the back & belly. As pretty as she is, she shoots even better ! This is THE longbow that I've always dreamed of ! JD Berry is an awesome bowyer and his craftsmanship is second to none. Thanks again Mr Berry for building me an awesome bow. I don't have a photo bucket account but if you text me 407-402-9218, I'll be glad to send some pics. Tradcat
Congrats on your Vixen Tradcat. Too bad you didn't anticipate posting some pics during your wait and open a PB account. Does this bow have the standard or Old School handle?
Wedge grip with a tiny dish 2 1/8" deep & 1" wide
Tradcat.
If you email me the pics I can post them for you.
I also have a vixen who is my mistress.
She was my first......Berry that is. Now I've got 7 of them :)

TC, I was referring to the length of the riser....the old school riser has short/steep sweeps up to the handle from the limbs whereas the standard riser is a longer sweep. If you can get pics to Brian....we'll have a look at this beauty. Regardless of which riser.....you've latched onto one of the finest! As for the grip.....nobody shapes them better than James
I'm not sure which riser....tell me what you think. I can also call Mr Berry and ask

Congrats again, that's a sharp looking Vixen!
Great looking bow.
Looks like James nailed it again!!!
Standard handle. ...me
What a beauty!
JD - I beg to differ with you! There is NOTHING "standard" about your handles or any bow that you build. Each and every one is SPECIAL!!!! :clapper:
Tradcat - Nice Vixen. That osage is the cat's meow!
Danny
thanks Danny
Sweet bow!
I'm with Danny, I've never seen a jdberry longbow that was anything less than amazing in its own right.
Jon
They're more akin to snowflakes.
Each one beautiful in it's own right.
Yours is no exception to that statement.
A gorgeous bow with a sweet "yaller" wood riser.
God bless,Mudd
just wondering what brace height recommendation... I have her at 6.5". Also, I have the bottom of the arrow nock 1/4" above 90 degrees..seems good just wondering what others have found with their Vixen.....
