Well I just traded off my last wheel bow for a Toelke Wip Classic 62" 47 @28. I have never seen or shot one in person but the reviews seem pretty good and I figured that based on it's reputation I should always be able to get rid of it if for some reason it's not to my liking.
Any Toelke owners out there know what arrows specs these bows like.
I shoot a 58"er 52# @ 27". Mine loves 3555s cut to 29.5, 50 grain inserts and 190 grain broadheads.
If you're drawing 28", I'd go with a 500 spine arrow around 30" long. Play with the front weight a little and you'll be good to go.
I draw a hair over 29" and with bows in the low 50's I shoot 30.5" 400 spine arrows with 175-200 up front
My 62" Whip is 50@26 and likes a 73 lb spine 28" BOP with a 125 gr point. Seemed stiff to me but the Whip is cut deeper than my other longbows and wears a pretty skinny string.
I'll be very surprised if you don't like yours.
The classic is my next move. Have a Whip and a couple of super Ds now.
Hi. I have a r/d whip 58" 50 @28. I draw about 25.25 inches. For me a full length beman mfx 600 with 75 gr insert and 125 gr head tunes nicely. Gold tip 1535 s also work well with 200 grs up front. I found 500s too stiff. You have a GREAT bow! Hope this helps. John
Got two whips. A T/D and one piece both 62" 52# @28". I shoot woodies and 70-75# Surewoods with 160 up front seems to fly well for me. Congrats. Toelke bows are great!
I drawing 29" so I should be drawing about 50#.
