Has anyone tried the ARS pads in their ThermCell units? If you have was it effective or spook game?

Is looks like it says that they are for "electric" units. Thermocell is a butane unit. Would they even work?
Maybe the company doesn't even realize that, lol.

Yes, it does work in the unit.
As bad as the mosquitoes are around here , I wouldn't take a chance.

Take a chance of what?
I have put it in the unit and it works just like the ThermaCell pad. I just want to know if anyone has used the ARS and does it spook game or not.
WHere did you see them ? Are they cheaper than thermacell ones ?
I refill my butane cylinders but haven't found a cheap alternative for the pads yet.

The ThermaCELL pads are about $1.25 ea. I got 30 pads for $7.99 form the big auction site.
I get 4 butane refills for $12 and also used those pads no problems. Had deer plenty close with the generic refill pads.
Nice. I'll have to look into it
I take Deep Woods Off and spray it onto an old pad. Saturate it, then use it in the Thermacell. It works for me.

I've seen OFF used as a very effective fire starter. I think I'd be a little leery about using close to an ignition source. Just my opinion (and we all know what is said about that), but I would hate to see someone get hurt trying to save a few dollars.
Never a problem with pad reuse. The little butane bottle is also a potential grenade. Especially those refilled bottles that have been altered. I don't do the butane refill, yet, but with the saturated pads, I'll still use'em.
Real men do not use Repellent or Thermacell in Louisiana.
Best thing ever invented for hunters in my opinion.Just wish they were around when I started hunting in the 60's.Had to suffer 40 or so years with them pesky bugs. How come Noah didn't just swat the pair when he had the chance.Kip

I don't modify the bottles at all. All I do is remove the check valve that prevents refilling. Not any more dangerous than flicking a Bic.
What do you refresh used pads with?
Deep Woods Off.
As soon as I get the stuff to do the refills, I'll be doing that too.
You ever get those SS Razorheads?
Do any of the thermacell pads seem to work for yellowflies, OFF just seems to attract them.
