I am in a predicament. I have been drooling at the design and look of the timberghosts. The problem is I don't really have the $$ for a timberghost at the moment, but i do own a black widow MAIII that I think i could get about what a use timberghost is worth.
Would you sell a bow you know you like to try out a bow you just love their design?
I usually buy the one I think I need to try and tell my wife that I will get rid of one to compensate. That some times takes awhile lol
I've never shot a Widow, But I can't imagine you regretting getting a TimberGhost. I love the 1 pc. Smoke that I have and can't wait to try one of Kent's take-downs.
Maybe if you sell the Widow, you could let the new owner know that you may want to trade/buy back if not happy with the T'Ghost. :dunno:
I wouldn't sell the widow if you like it. You'll probably regret it. I'd try and get your hands on a TG and shoot them side by side before making a decision
NO !!!!!!!!
Don't buy a TimberGhost whatever you do.
He's working on mine and I will never get it if you order one.
Just kidding....
They are great bows.
I love my widows! Own a KBX and a PCHX........ But,,,,,,,,Kent is making me a static tip recurve! If you like widows you will love a Timberghost !!!!!
I did a review of a 52 inch static tip recurve on here! It was Kent's personal bow that he sent to me to try out! Amazing customer service and bowyer! I ordered one after a week of shooting Kent's! I cannot wait to own one of my own!
I'm not sure that I'd sell a bow that I know I like in order to try a different one.... But I have read some great things about those ghosts! On the other hand, you could do as Fattony77 says above, or sell the ghost and buy another widow. There's always people buying and selling BW's. And I believe there is a Timberghost in the classifieds right now.

I agree. Never shot a Timberghost but I lust after a friend's Widow, love that bow.
I have owned a Black Widow PSA V since 2005 and have taken whitetails, black bear, turkey plus an African Nyala bull not to mention various small game critters in addition to carp, skate and ray. It is a take down and pulls 62 pounds at my 29.5 " draw lenght. It nto only shhots fast, is is smooth and quiet. I'ed stick with the Black Widow but...it never hurts to have other bow.
I've never shot a Timberghost, but I recently purchased a new to me Black Widow. It practically shoots itself. I love it!
I have shot a few BW , very good bows!! BUT the TimberGhost is my favorite no doubt.
My MAIII says NO!

Dave, I think my MAIII says the same!! Lol.
I am thinking I'll stick with the widow. After all, I did kill my first(and only)deer with it. It is pretty sweet.
Decisions decisions...
If I were you, I wouldn't give up the idea of having the Timberghost, but I'd try to finance it another way. Keep the Widow - sounds like you might regret getting rid of it someday!
I love my MAII I can't imagine getting rid of her. If it's not eating anything and you know you like it don't sell it. In the end you wind up with two. Just my opinion.

Well my widow likes to hide arrows in the woods and under the grass. But that is usually an operator error.
There both belly mounted limb bows so there's not going to be a lot of difference between them. I get the new bow wants every now and then as well, but try not to give up something I have to get something I want. I definitely recommend trying before buying. Doing so has saved me a lot of hassle and money.
I would not do it, keep your MA. Maybe find a temporary part time job to finance the Timberghost.
with a lot of bows I might sell...but that MAIII is a classic bow and it or the MAII was one I drooled over for many a year in my traditional infancy.
How sweet it is to have choices...
The MA series is my favorite BW, just great shooters and tough bows that last forever. Save up for a TG and also keep an eye on the classifieds but keep the MA ...
Would suspect that trading in a premium full size SUV for a premium Compact may later possibly surface significant differences other than mpg...would highly recommend a thorough test drive.

Friend said it best. If you shoot the widow well keep it. There is always a later time to get a TG
