Title: Take down question?

What if any are the benefits to a belly mounted take down?  Are there drawbacks?

The advantage is the forward grip placement makes it more forgiving in the grip torque department...

The disadvantage is most of them are butt ugly...   :biglaugh:

:laughing:         :nono:      Now now.  Ok Sixby where are you, you need to defend the belly mounts LOL

I think some of them look quite deadly.  It seems that the handle placement allows one to take advantage of the performance benefits potentially offered by a low brace height but without what would be an excessively low and arm slapping brace height on a 'conventional' riser.
