hey guys, i just bought some new 500 spine black axis shafts. i opened the package and they are different to the ones i've been getting lately. the ones i usually recieve are marked with 'focused energy' and 'third generation' n-fused carbon nano.
the dozen that just arrived are labelled differently. 'n-fused carbon hybtonite technology' and 'ST slim tech'
i couldn't care less about the label, i'm just wondering if there is any difference in how they behave between the 2 types/batches.
i suspect the ones i just got are older stock?
i just don't want to get these nicely tuned and then have to retune later if i got what i normally get for the next dozen.
thanks.
Easton routinely changes the badging on the axis shafts. I have never noticed a difference in the performance.
I believe the Focused Energy shafts were produced for the big box stores, like Bass Pro,etc. There was a thread on this forum within this past year about a recall. Anyway, your newer shafts should be just fine. http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=129087#000000
so they are the same shaft, just a different label?
thanks
