I have one of the older cuddeback 1.3 meg cameras and it works fine, my dad has one of the moultree cameras but the trigger speed is really slow compared to the cuddeback. I am thinkg of getting a no flash because I have pics of a couple of different bucks, both were taken at night with the flash and then I never get another picture of them. In other cases the deer, bucks and does don't care the will stand infront of the camera and I will get 10 or more pics. So now the question, which one. Cuddeback, Stealthcam, and I heare good things about the Leaf River. Does anyone have any comments?
I've got the Leaf River, and while it does what it's supposed to do, it has a slow trigger time. Plan ahead and it works good. That's a good trade off for the awesome battery life it offers.
Personally, in over 6 years of operating multiple cameras, I've never had a problem running off deer from a white flash camera. I have had mature bucks move to another trail 10 feet away, but never leave the area. And I feel that had as much to do with me being in there once a week checking cameras and leaving scent, as it does the flash.
I think that if the white flash scared deer, they would all die of fright when a good T storm with lots of lightening came through. Other than that, you can go to www.chasingame.com (http://www.chasingame.com) and check out the camera reviews. It's an independant guy who buys them and then tests them and reports the outcome. Lots of good info.
