I've had a few requests over the past year or so to do a one piece bow with the same forward riser and limb geometry as my TD hybrid. Finally got around to building one. This one is a 58" Ziricote/Zebra riser with Bocote and Osage accents, Bocote belly veneers with carbon back. I'm really happy with the performance and feel. This one just weighs about 1.5# but has absolutely no hand shock, same smooth draw as the TD and is just a tad faster through the chrono. I plan on doing a 2 piece version soon.
Just wanted to post a few pics to get some input. I've got a couple ideas but haven't made up my mind yet what to call it.

OH MAN, Kent that's awesome I would love to shoot that sometime.
Really like the lines in that one. I have a few questions if you don't mind.
How far back can it safely be drawn?
Is 58" the strung length? Or unstrung?
Will the two piece be bow bolt? Or something else?
Kent,
you are a master bowyer, nice work!
How does the grip compare to the smoke?
Wow great lines on that one, home run I'd say!
The Timberghost Specter.

2: something that haunts or perturbs the mind
homebru
I'm just getting ready to start your Smoke Jason, if you want to shoot this one before I start just let me know. The grip is very close to the Smoke.
TxAg, this 58" is 54@28 and 56.5-57@29. 29" would be no problem for the 58". String angle is great at 29". I can try to get you a pic tomorrow if you want. I'm going to do the carbon/glass sleeve style TD.
I've got a ways to go before I'm a master bowyer but thanks Charlie.
I like Specter, Homebru. Kind of fits in with the whole ghost thing. Thought about Apparition too.
Kent,
you are just humble, I stand by my statement; because you build fine bows.
By the way, if you are looking for votes on the name, I vote for Apparition.

We definitely need more pics of that one! That looks great! I think you should do a pass around, but a few pounds lighter. Lol. What lengths will this be available in? I'll third "apparition".
You'd have to be blind and dense as a yew fence post to not love that. Kent you have really got it all going on there.
Congratulations on one well designed awesome bow.
God bless, Steve
God I like that bow ! LOL.I would love to have that at 60-62" in a 2 piece.Beautiful work.
DANG IT, Kent!!! Now I have to add 2nd to my must-have list! (The first is your take-down) That is a great looking bow!!! What lengths is it gonna be available in?
:notworthy: :notworthy:
I also like the name "Specter" (FWIW), but "Apparition" is pretty cool too. As far as I'm concerned, the only name that REALLY matters is "TimberGhost". Cuz I KNOW that means it's a top quality bow.
Great job, man!
Love it.
Very nice Kent
Man that is nice love the lines of the limbs Thnaks Shane
A really great looking bow!! Such clean looking lines.
You have done another great job.
Thanks everyone! I'm pretty happy with this one. Probably be hunting with it come September.
I just got a 60" glued up for Hubi last night. Guess I better get back to work!
Kent,
Fantastic work!!! I am a three piece guy myself, but this thread really makes me look forward to getting mine when my name comes up!! Awesome job once again!!!
Jake

String angle pics would be cool.
Can you build one of those bad boys with a thumb rest?
Well I dropped by Kent's today and although I didn't get to stay for long I did get to fling a couple of arrows through his new bow and WOW.
This bow is fast, super quit, and absolutely no hand shock, after the shot this thing is completely dead in your hand. And believe me pics don't do this bow justice it is a wonderful looking bow.
My wife has informed me that I am no longer allowed to go see Kent after spending the rest of the afternoon trying to figure out how I can afford another bow.
Kent, how about...
1. Cheveyo = Spirit Warrior ( Hopi Indian)
2. Makya = Eagle Hunter ( Hopi Indian)
Wow! That's really nice.
Very Nice.
Good lookin rig man!!!

x2
I think txag and I are one the same page..lol
Sweet looking bow!
I'll try to get a pic of it drawn to 29" tonight. Thumbrest is no problem. I typically have a thumb rest on all my risers, just didn't on this one.
sweet...
This one has my strong interest.
Heres a pic showing thumb rests on a Smoke 1 pc. and a TD. (http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u428/kentroberts1/imagejpg1-5.jpg) (http://s1067.photobucket.com/user/kentroberts1/media/imagejpg1-5.jpg.html)
I SEE!
Ya got me thinkin..lol
Nice ;)
Ok finally got a full draw pic of the bow to show the string angles. This is a 58" bow, the arrow is a 28.75" Axis measured nock throat to back of point. The arraow has a long glue on point so the pic is a little deceiving but you can see the arrow is drawn with the BOP either at or very close to the front of the shelf which is at least 29.5, probably closer to 29.75" draw length. You can see the string angles look very good, absolutely no finger pinch. The limb tips are still holding a fair amount of reflex at that draw length. With the form I have now I'll be able to offer this bow in 58", 60" and 62". Just got a 60" glued up for Hubi this past weekend.I normally draw just over 28", went ahead and shot it a few times at 29.5-29.75 tonight and it still has absolutely no hand shock. Sorry for the longwinded post. I just kind of like this bow.

Sorry just noticed a mistake in the post. The arrow is actually 29.75" not 28.75".
Man, that is one sweet looking stick! Well done!
Oh man...when that comes out in a two piece...I sure would like to try it. I fear that my bank account might take another hit.
I love the look of that bow.
Ttt, for a sweet new design!
