Laine and I got out this afternoon and shot her new bow. It's an osage selfbow that we made together. About her 5th shot showed it to be effective. I have rarely seen such a beautiful bull.

Laine is 6 and lost all 4 front teeth within 1 month of eachother.
Her form is unique but effective :)

Give her some kudos and I'll show 'em to her.
Thanks!
Laine, I hope the Tooth Fairy was good to you! And GREAT SHOOTING!!! :wavey:
Wow! Excellent shot Laine! Your smile says a lot. Nice bow too.
I think your smile has character and your shooting is a sight to behold. Great job to both of you!
Awesome
HA! I love it!
I'm thinking maybe the tooth fairy was really good to her by making sure she got her own bow and time to shoot with her dad.
Laine, that's a real purty bow you've got there and it looks like you know where to shoot them arrows too!
I bet it was your Daddy who put all those other holes in the doors huh? :bigsmyl:  :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Excellent shooting Laine!..and good for you John.
And Laine, you know those teeth are worth $5 each. d:^) Boy, I miss my little girl. She's 36 now! Pat
Great job Laine!
Maybe you can join your dad and me on some hunting trips. We need someone along who can hit something. ;)
Hope to see you soon, Mr. Shue.
Awesome!!
Nice shot young lady, and a smile to match. :goldtooth:
:bigsmyl:
Way to go, Laine! Beautiful shot, beautiful bow, and beautiful YOU! Give your dad a big hug for your fun time shooting. You are a talented and persistant young lady to be shooting so well. It is good to see you here at our campfire.

Laine, Great Shot! Keep practicing and shooting with your Dad.
Laine , nice shooting  :clapper: :clapper:
Wow Laine you are growing up so FAST! Good shot :clapper:
That's an Apache draw John, and very effective actually (although they used a pinch draw).
You should be ready to start hunting soon, our season starts this Saturday. Is Darren coming over to hunt this year?
It warms my heart to see your smile. Dads' smile tells me that he'd be happy even if your arrow wasn't in the bull. Congratulations on your new bow and how well it shoots for you!
God bless,Mudd
John,
Congrats to Laine and an obviously proud daddy.
Kids are so cool. I guess thats why I have so many. LOL
Way to go Laine!!!!
Atta Girl!! Keep at it!!
Look out Robin Hood, there's a new archer in town. fine shooting young lady, bet you can whip up on daddy with that pretty bow. :clapper:
Ahhh, shoots Gary Davis style, eh?
That girl is growing up!
Way to go, Laine!!
It was nice meeting you at CLoverdale last summer. Had I known you were such an expert archer, I would have asked for a few shooting tips.
Keep up the GREAT work!
Daryl
AWESOME!!!
Nice job. Have fun.
Fantastic shot and an even better smile.... :notworthy: :clapper:
Great shot Laine! In no time at all you'll be ready to join your dad on our elk hunt. And like Darren said above, at least then we'll have someone who can hit something. :bigsmyl:
John, I'm still not sure how you ended up with such a cutie. It has to be her mom's genes. :)
Steve
That barn has so many holes in it. Very few from the kids, as much as I hate to admit it :) It also has a good dozen arrows under it. I've threatened to pull up the floor boards and recover some of them but then I'd have to clean it out.
Mickey, our season starts next week. This weekend is a special youth hunt. Laine is a bit young yet but the two older kids are going. Darren is coming over for the bowhunt at the end of October. You coming? I just got word that I can hunt a guy's 38 acres down that way. I'm looking forward to checking it out.
Thanks to everyone. I'll show Lainey the responses tonight and see what she thinks.
One perfect arrow. That's all any of us ever hope for. Way to go Laine! Good Hunting John.
Good Shootin Laine!!!!!!! Keep it up!
John, I'll be in Wisconsin hunting with George Nagel that week. Darren emailed me saying he might be back over for a late season hunt in Jan. I'll try and make that.
Well done, young lady. You're only going to get better!!
Mickey, have fun up there with George. How about a central Ohio small game, stump shoot sometime in January? Darren always ends up driving here so I figured I'd meet him halfway. Any suggestions on some public land in Central Ohio?
great pictures!
That a simple stick could bring such happyness! Bigger brighter teeth will come along with more bulleyes. But that stick bow will always remind her of you. Best to both of you!!
Nicely done Laine. Pretty shot from a pretty girl! Make sure you soak those cookies in milk 'till the teeth grow back in. :bigsmyl: :clapper:
WOW! Laine, nice shooting!!
:wavey: :notworthy: :campfire: :archer: :clapper: :jumper: :jumper:
Hey Laine,
You can be very proud of yourself for just learning to shoot a bow. Congratulations on a really fine shot.
Always remember this, it doesn't matter if you miss sometimes, we all do, all that matters is that you are having fun and enjoying every arrow that you shoot.
We are all proud of you!!!
GREAT SHOOTING YOUNG LADY :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: :jumper:
