Title: Dryads new kid's bow the Gryphon
Post by: wingnut on June 24, 2014, 03:12:00 PM
Well yes we did!

Henry needed a new bow and one that could grow with him.

This 3 piece TD recurve is available in three limb length making a 44, 46 or 48 inch bow.  Limbs are normally about 15 @ 20.

Henry's has special white limbs that he picked out and composite core.  The norm will be actionwood core with black glass.

Here are some pics of him shooting his new bow.

Here is a pic of Henry's face after only one day in the Colorado Mountains.  One dirty little guy.

He's all boy, 200 mph with his hair on fire and covered in dirt.  Had a ball and shot great.

In the first round of the water balloon shoot he matched against a 10 yr old with a longbow.  Henry nailed his balloon on the second shot and got the very surprised kid wet.  LOL

Great pictures and nice looking bow Mike. Your Phoenix Lite's are great bows for kids too (OK, yes I've shot it too using the girls arrows so I didn't overdraw it). Great shooting little bows and extremely quiet.  Here's Morgan after an evening hunt with her Dryad Phoenix Lite:

Congratulations on adding another fine looking bow to the young archers line-up.

What Mike hasn't posted is a video of this bow. I watched Henry walk up to the water balloon shoot.  He drew his Gryphon back and let loose.  I said "holy smoke does that thing shoot".  Beautiful flat cast and quick.  If only I were 35 years younger.  Quite a nice bow.

Yep the speed surprised a lot of folks.  He did very well for a four year old under the pressure of everyone watching.  On Saturday with fewer people he did even better.

Tom at RMS said that handling the bow in his shop is a no brainer so we need to get some built to ship to Denver.
