Title: Cudos to "The Nocking Point"
Post by: Mohillbilly on September 23, 2007, 03:09:00 PM
I truly appreciate great service and great products.  Mike Horton, owner of the Nocking point, a tradgang sponsor embodies both of these.  I just ordered some cedar shafts to get back into wood arrows from carbon.  My friend Darren Haverstick shamed me into it by telling me I "needed to get some MAN arrows".   :)

I haven't messed with wood arrows in 15 to 20 years.  Well I ordered the shafts, dip tube, etc. from Mike and had the order in 2 days on my step.  His prices are great and his shipping just what it costs him to ship and his service amazing.

Now, I opened the cedars, all spined and weighted within 20 grains, written on the shaft, and immediately noticed that everyone was blemish free and straight.  Let me say that again, STRAIGHT.  I was amazed.  I expected to have to straighten and restraighten.  Nope, I got busy tapering, staining and sealing immediately.

All I can say is  WOW!!!

If you haven't used "THe NOCKING POINT" I would encourage you to check him out.

One Satisified Customer,
Bret

Update:   Have 12 stained shafts hanging with 3 coats of sealer in place.  One more coat and I will be ready to fletch.

I forgot how much I loved the smell of cedar and how much fun it is to be involved in the arrow making process.   My longbow likes them better too!

I'm glad to read that your arrow making process is going smoothly. By the time you get those arrows done you should have enough testosterone coursing through your veins to warrant shaving for the first time  :bigsmyl:  Let me know if I can be any more "help"!
