The first person I met, and got a hug from, this past weekend at Comptons was Tracey Balowski - then when I returned from my mail box on Monday and opened up TBM while walking down my drive back to my house was Tracey. The first time I had a booth at K-zoo Rendezvou was right across from Tracey's. When I went to the PBS odd year gathering in Wis., there was Tracey in her booth. Oh, did I forget to mention that David her husband was always by her side. Ha! I just wanted to let folks know there was a nice interview in the current issue of TBM with one of our only female bowyers and Trad Gang sponsor, Tracey.
Mike, she surely is a big asset to the traditional world. Good for her.
Shick
Had a nice chat with her last weekend at Compton. I even took one of her bows for a test drive. Nice folks to talk to!!
Most-excellent!
Lookin' forward to the next issue of TBM and readin' the article.
Keep the wind in your face!
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
I too, had the pleasure to chat with David and Tracey as we packed up to leave the show.
Very nice folks who work hard at their business and so helpful at making one feel a part of the trad community.
They are part of the reason we will be making the Compton Show an annual event
The Balowskis are amazing people and I LOVE seeing them in this issue. They've taken EXCELLENT care of my family and I and are wonderful traditional archery ambassadors.
Tracey is truly "the family bowyer" in every sense of the word.
Love me some St. Joe River Bows!
I read the article last night...
I didn't know Tracey trusted Dave working on her masterpieces...
Great Folks to do business with for sure...
Fine bows and even finer people. Always a pleasure talking with them.
Yes, I enjoyed reading the article over the weekend. I also enjoy seeing their posts on here. If I didn't have the girls all set up with bows, I'd certainly be calling regarding their youth bows. They look great and price very reasonably.
Thank you! Thank you! I'm still a little weirded out about having my face in a magazine. I'm amazed anyone is interested me but it sure is nice to hear the kind words. Thank you all.
.......Wonderful interview .
Always enjoy reading how some of our Fine Bowyer's from across the Nation look @ and practice the craft .
......OSAGE ;)
I rushed home from work , ran to the mailbox and.....
Nothin , :( maybe tomorow
Got mine today. Looking foreward to reading it.
Its always a pleasure to roll into a shoot's vendor area and see David and Tracey there. It's even better when they are set up close by.
On a side note Tracey loves to be surprised. You all should try to scare her every chance you get.  Just kidding guys don't do it! If you do you are likely to see the red hair stand on end followed by little fists of furry flying in your direction. She has a great hook. Her jab is a little week but she REALLY makes up for it with her upper cut!OUCH! :D

And I didn't get mine yet, going to have to call again!
One of the benefits of living in Michigan is seeing David and Tracey at functions other than bow shoots. It sure is nice rolling into a big banquet and seeing their friendly faces.
Genuinely nice people
Yepper they are some of the finest people you will ever meet and they do make some purtty bows. One year at the Grayling shoot I intorduced a good friend to Tracy, and my friend was just getting back into archery. He test drove one of her bows and fell in love with it.
So they got talking about building him a bow and my friend being an avid guitar palyer jokingly said he wanted a guitar carved in the riser of his bow. If you could of seen his face when Tracy calmly replied "NO PROBLEM" needless to say the order was placed that very hour and what a beautiful bow it turned out to be.
Great interview Tracey thanks for being an inspiration to a lot of people
Very nice interview. The Osage and Ebony take down that was pictured made for PBS is the most stunning bow I have ever seen !
My daughters were so excited to "see the lady who made our bows" in TBM. They love them.
Yup, my daughters both got new St. Joe bows at Compton's and they were excited when I showed them the article.
Thank you again everyone.
