WOW, what a pleasant surprise coming here to check in to what's happening in TG World.
Thank you all for the compliments, and let the jealousy flow about the awesome beard (read that as nasty according to my wife).
I dropped the meat off at the processor Thursday to get ground up and made into Polish Sausage Hamburger patties, and then I dropped off the hide yesterday to get tanned. I have time to figure out what I want done by the time it gets back from the tannery. I'm also supposed to get a call tomorrow or Tuesday once the hide is thawed out and they can get the skull out and green scored. I'll post the # when I get it.
I'm putting together the story for the Professional Bowhunters Society publication. I received so much info from PBS members, that I see it fitting to share my experience in the PBS magazine.
Congrats!! We need the story. :campfire:
Congrats Mike! I was thinking that picture might look real good up there!
Bjorn, it's over here. (http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=137991;p=1#000000)

Looking good Mike
Glad you went Mike, just wish you could follow directions around Chicago. Ha! Well done.
We had to do our part to pay for all that construction by paying EXCESSIVE tolls, not to mention you just put on the steaks, and they needed to cook for a little bit. HA
Beautiful bear mike ..CONGRATS!!
Beauty Mike!!! Really did a good story on here. :campfire:
I still can not tell who has more Fuzz on their hide. :biglaugh:

AND a bear burger dinner!
Steve, you and the Chili "King" (girls too if they are interested) will be over shortly for dinner once we get it back from the butcher.
Good Job Mike
What a great bear....nice job Mike!!!
Nice going Mike & Congratulations!
Congrats on a beautiful bear!!
Mike,
I find myself returning to look at that wonderful bear you were blessed with. What a trophy. And yes... there is no doubt that the beard only contributes to your awesomeness! :notworthy:
Way cool...can't wait for the story!
Attaboy Mike
:wavey:
That's a beauty brother! Congrats! That's on my list. Got to go give it a try.
Charlie
That is an awesome bear Mike!!! Congratulations
Do you skin Grizz?
;)
Congrats big fella.
Got the call from the Taxidermist. Skull measured 17 7/8". It's not Pope & Young (needed to be 18 after 60 days), but it is the world record in the "MV" record book. I couldn't be any happier with this bear if I tried. I'm still beside myself that I was blessed with the opportunity.

Yes Sean. I used the exact same Eclipse head that I killed my Mule Deer with last year. Those Eclipse heads are amazing...

With the knife I won last year...
