Not glove or tab. Actually glovetab.
I have a two part question here. The first starts with an observation that I pull my bow string just about completely with my ring and index finger (while shooting two under one over). Then I read randomly that you dont want to pull much with the top finger. And I said, 'cool I do it right'. Then experimenting with an old set of fingers that was on the way out I cut off the pointer finger completely and it seemed just fine and I loved the ability to use my pointer finger and thumb to grab stuff with good dexterity. Has anyone else done this?
Then I got to thinking. I really like how tabs shoot but I just dont like the idea of them really, as they always seem to be in my way. However they seem to not develop a crease and have a slick release. My latest idea is to take a set of super thin fingers (ones I have that are too thin for my taste) cut the pointer finger off, and sew an unused two layer cordovan tab to the stalls. I wouldn't consider this with my pointer finger because I hate mittens, however, it doesn't seem like a big deal with the index and ring finger. Has anyone tried anything like this?
:knothead:
Similar to this but hopefully a lot less bulky and loose.

Never tried it. Sounds interesting. Kinda like an el camino.
What's an el camino? Google cant find it...
Guys, we're giving away our ages again... A Chevy El Camino is a cross between a car and a truck. Sort of a car with a bed built for the back end instead of a back seat and trunk. High in coolness factor.
Surprised it doesn't show up in a search!

I really didn't need to read that. :(
Kinda like an el Camino. Good one, Dave.
What's an el Camino? Not so good one...
They weren't around very long, and it was back in the Nineteen Hundreds.
I'd think it would be the el Camino of tabs/gloves.
You'd be interested, but not for long.
Bwahahahahaha
This is the funniest ever.
Unfortunately, I know what a Chevy El Camino is. I thought it was some kind of shooting glove lol.
You guys are killing me! lol
Yeah. Me too.
I've been thinking about this for quite sometime actually.
I want a glove that has a tab on the end of it. Preference would be a Big Shot or Big Shot Crossover with a Black Widow 3 under tab on it.
My wife thinks she can "warf" them together...LOL. So may give it a try over vacation.
Yeah, I know all too well what a Chevy El Camino is. I wasn't even a young kid when they were popular. Saw one yesterday, by the way.
What I'm questioning is snowplow's statement that he pulls mostly with his ring finger. I have to think that is counter productive. I usually find most of the draw weight on my middle finger, closest to the center of the string and closest to the arrow.
Anyone else pulling mostly with their ring finger?
I was just thinking of this, might have to make one now...
Oh by the way I see a El Camino everyday lol
Modify a black widow tab.
Or if you're a Ford Man, Ranchero...
