Here's my first with a recurve from a few years ago - killed with a Bear "Stag Hunter" that my grandfather gave me - apparently manufactured in the early to mid 70's.
Sorry for the crappy quality - was late after we got her out.

My first traditional harvest with my Bear Super Grizzly I bought 33 years ago for about $45. It was NOS from an archery shop closeout.
Before she was moved or touched by human hand.

I love my older Bear bows...the new ones ain't too shabby either :)
Good thread, congrats guys! I've only shot fish so far, but I'm hunting with a 70's Super Grizzly until I kill a deer with it.
Old 70's Grizzly I used to have:

well..got the bow..I'll be working on the game...
This buck was taken by my late friend John Polyniak. Tomorrow, June 21 makes one year since he passed away.
Great man, friend and brother!
And a Vintage bear bow extraordinaire!
He used his 1960 Kodiak on this hunt.

To John! :archer2:
R.I.P. John.
Yes, to John! It looks like he lived a full life and it's obvious his legacy is still being carried on.

And just in case you're wondering why that squirrel looks so good in that photo. Those old bows can be fairly accurate LOL. The squirrel never felt a thing. 160gr STOS with 50gr insert.
