Didn't see a thread on this....got a catalog in the mail last week and the cover made me smile and take pause.....years of stories told and pics posted here from that bunch.
Thanks guys for sharing all you have over the years.
:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :clapper:
I don't get it? Pictures
That's a pretty motley looking crew if you ask me? For those who didn't get a catalog, it's the shot that they use in the TBM ad for Kustom King.
We're under the six month countdown to this years Shrewhaven Lodge deer camp. Woohoo!!! According to reports from the locals, we're all going to have to switch to extra large broadheads. It seems as though the mosquito population is large in both numbers and size this year in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and there's not as much blood in the critters up there, so we'll have to compensate to get good blood trails.
None the less, our crew it prepared for all challenges.
Thanks for the kind words Terry.
I talked to our buddy Randy that lives near our camp. He said they caught a big mosquito in a wolf trap the other day and it had three deer ticks on it.

The cameraman snapped this shot of a juvenile Upper Peninsula mosquito attacking his buddy. They found the camera on the ground and figured the mother mosquito carried the cameraman off to the swamp to feed the babies.
I saw the picture......just a bunch of old guys.......... :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Now you know why Ron carries that big bowie knife - CQB with the mosquitoes.
We hadn't bathed in about a week in that picture....just to make it fair to the rest of the catalog models out there scrapping for work :bigsmyl:
I haven't got my catalog yet either. Is this the picture? The title is "Judge Ron, Law south of the grade" Them's my deputy's behind me.. :biglaugh:

Trespassing on SHREWHAVEN property is punishable by hanging. Those varmits behind us found out that Super Shrew bows are quick on the draw.
Hey that looks like Eric Bell in that picture! Super nice guy and a heck uva pipe fitter.... Lol Tim is a Super nice feller as well! I met these guys a few years back while I was working in northwest Indiana... They are experts at pressure cooking and canning deer meat....!
Ron, that's not the pic...but close.
Good Stuff for sure. :campfire:

Yes, that's Eric Bell, and he is a very handy guy to have in camp. He and "Lil" Eric, the young guy on the other end next to Roger are the guys responsible for building "Lil Haven" near the main ShrewHaven cabin.

Yeah, there was a professional taking the Kustom King version. He's the best looking guy in the group with the initials R.L. and not seated.
Ya'll know that if anything ever happens to Ron, I'm laying claim to all his stuff that he's carved R.L. into-other than his skivvies of course. ;)

I've added my middle initial so now everything I own has
RWL on it....except my skivvies, they're marked XXXLG...you wouldn't be able to fill em.. :goldtooth:
That's large even horse diapers.
Big mosquito, wolf trap, 3 deer ticks..., sounds more believable than a lot of Washington DC rhetoric. Thanks goodness for people like these in the photo that help keep us rooted to the earth. Thanks Ron, Ray, Roger, Tim, and others for sharing your passion.
Yep, laying on my coffee table in the man cave. I pulled it from the mail box and sat in my truck and enjoyed it for a minute.
Can someone put the tradgang members in this picture in a "From left to Right" list for us???

TJ, left to right:
Roger Norris, Tradgang Member and sponsor- Traditional Woodsman. sledge hammer operator-unparalleled.
Eric Bonnet, son-in-law of Kevin Marshall, not a TG member. The brawn behind the brains.
Ray Lyon, yours truly, Tradgang member #35(from the fledgling stage).
Greg Nicolaou, chef, and not a Tradgang member
Tim Cosgrove, proprietor Kustom King and Tradgang Sponsor. Tim posts very, very infrequently. He's too busy with the company.
Kevin Marshall, rib cooker extraordinaire, not a Tradgang member.
Eric Bell, son-in-law of Tim Cosgrove and chief 'engineer and project coordinator', not a Tradgang member. Eric is one of those guys who looks at a project and says 'this is how we should do it'.
Last, and certainly not least, seated front and center, Ron 'Lobo' LaClair, Tradgang from the beginning, Tradgang Sponsor, Shrew Bow proprietor and knife/hawk handler and poem writer extraordinaire. Ron is also the partner in the Shrewhaven Property with two other family groups. The property has been in their hands since 1990, Ron, Greg and Tim bow hunted the property as a group with Tom Rogers in 1991 and then I replace Tom in 1992. The rest, as they say, is history.
Many Thanks Ray, I knew who you were and the young man in front but the others needed clarification. A fine looking lot.
Thanks again
TJ

TJ, just wanted to clarify that that was Ron. Didn't want anyone to think it was one of those fabricated pictures where a ghost (of Armstrong Creek) shows up somewhere in the picture unbeknownst to the rest of the subjects. ;)
OK...but that's still not the pic...the one on the catalog is at an angle and Ron is more on the right.
But hey...Least we got one up so ya'll could list the names.
Thanks again...... :campfire:

OK, here's the front cover. Sorry, I didn't use a super high resolution scan.
