Title: Scores and rankings at cloverdale?
Post by: Brianlocal3 on June 16, 2014, 03:20:00 PM
Does anyone know the scores and rankings from cloverdale? Or who the winner was and their score?

I shot Saturday but couldn't stay so now I'm looking for results.

Thanks

You are most welcome.

Thank you for permitting me an opportunity to loose some arrows thru the coveted J D Berry Taipan...very nice experience.

There were 3 courses consisting of a total of 50 targets. They have the best layout ever. They use about 75-80 targets in setting it up.
Scoring is 5 or 0. 5 points for the standard 8-10 scoring rings and 0 for a wound or miss.

OK, that is what I thought I read on the website about the scoring and why I asked. Then please explain how there are so many scores that are not divisible by 5??? For example, the winner in Men's Longbow had a 248, and Brianlocal3 had a 184. I don't understand how those numbers can happen if it is 5-0 scoring?

I think they have a few targets where you can go for a tougher shot and score more than the standard 5 points.

They did when I went years ago.

It was a fantastic course.  I had a blast and yes they did have "bonus" shots.  You could take like a 30 yard shot at a coyote for 13 points or the standard shot.  Every shot was neat and the scenes they had set up were great.

Yep, the bonus shots. And me being me  :)  I HAD to take the bonus shots on every one!! Ha made it a blast.

Even some shots had two opportunities even without the bonus.
One was a 20 yard shot in a broadside brown bear or 25 yds for a black bear pushing over a tree at 25 yds.

Hands Down the best course I've ever shot

It was a great course.  I played it safe and passed on the long bonus shots.  I took the easier 5 points.
