I just sold mine, really liked it a lot! I have a super long draw and wanted a little longer bow so I sold it and replaced it with a 64".
He has been making bows for over 50 yrs and only 2 people have one
I owned one a while back, good shooter but the limbs twisted easily. Always use a bow stringer. The limbs reminded me a bit of Bill Stewarts Multi-Cam design but not as stable. As I recall is was pretty quick for the poundage and drew very smooth. You rarely see them for sale in the classifieds. Overall it was a pretty good bow, very light in the hand and good balance with a bow quiver attached.
Its my go to bow. I've taken more game with my Spike than any other bow. Its smooth, quiet and hits hard.
Shot a 76# Spike for 10 years . Not the best looking bows but workhorses for sure.
I had one for a couple seasons, really liked shooting it. Smooth and fast.

I have on older take down with the dovetail take down system - its my go-to bow so needless to say, I like it.
I strongly believe the bows are very under-rated probably due to the finished product not being perfect or pretty. Bottom-line the bows are fast and consistent, its a tool, not a show piece. Killed a 140" whitetail in Kansas in 2012. I believe they're a great, hard hitting bow for a very reasonable price!
I have a Spike III that I absolutely love. To me it's a hunting bow not art.
Had 2 3 piece recurves that became 4 piece recurves. Never again
I have never shot one. Ive seen them in elk camp. Seems you hear as many good things as bad about them.
I ordered a custom one in 1994. I want make that mistake again.
too many great bowyers/bows out there with spotless track records to even consider anything that is questionable as far as product or service. whatever you decide just make sure you research it thoroughly and make it your decision, not ours
