I am a hunter . I have health issues that have me moving around in weight .What are the + and - of the ILF . I there a set way of figuring out the poundige at 28" with the different risers , 13"-15" -17" etc. and limbs , short ,medium ,long etc.Thank you Rick
Yes draw weight goes inversely to length in inches. For every inch you go down in length of riser the weight will go up one pound in draw weight and vice versa is the rule of thumb. You can usually adjust the draw weight roughly ten percent with the limb bolts. I like ILF but I like bolt down no adjustment better. For me I just ended up putting them to max poundage and left it alone.

I'd agree with David. I've owned a number of ILFs and I pick up limbs that would hit my desired target weight at my draw. Sure I could adjust them +/- a few pounds either way, which is what initially drew me to ILFs, but one I got it set I never fiddled with the weight because that involved re-tuning. It's nice to be able to pick limbs that could fit your ILF riser or vice versa but I've found I'm not swapping them in and out like I thought I would. Swapping limbs and risers may be the pro and I see few cons - to answer your question.

Matching your draw length to limb length is important. Ability to use different manufacturers limbs on your ilf riser is a plus as well as the ability to ultra fine tune your arrow since you can minutely adjust poundage and tiller.
