If you wife and kids could get you your dream bow for Fathers day, what would it be?
An EagleWing bow by Steve of course
Another takedown Toelke whip like I have. It is the finest bow I have ever owned and I want another one:)
I'd go with a bow for my wife over another for me. Otherwise, I'd say an identical 2-piece version of my longbow.
One of the new model Blacktail 15" riser bows. Love the attention to detail.
Well, I'm usually partial to my two favs- Stewarts and Centaurs, but this year for a special reason its gonna have to be a Javaman! :bigsmyl: :coffee:
My would be a Two Tracks Echo!
Another Hill or maybe a JD Berry
Another 62" JD Berry Taipan
60-65# Gamemaster Jet........
now thats not fair. i aint found one yet. I'm just saying
I can't limit it to just one, but here's my list: Two Tracks Echo
Hill Wesley Special
Hill Redman
Hill Cheetah

Dakota Pro Hunter Recurve 64" 55# @ 28" all highly figured bacote
My dream bow would get rod of the wife and kids. lol. i guess i want a brand new grayling Michigan super Kodak. im so impressed with mine i can't imagine it getting any better.
Mine would be a "Rose Oak" Ultra Delight Recurve 62" 44#@28"...
Mine is on order. JD Berry Morningstar.
64" Cari-bow Silver Fox LB
Or
66" Toelke Lynx
Pronghorn Longbow.
The big Jim buffalo longbow that the wife ordered just before Christmas for me. Should be here this month. Black and white ebony with iron wood in the riser I believe that is what Jim said. With some white glass strips in it and all horned out of course. Can't wait.
Black Widow KBX with copperhead skin...
Got mine coming soon....2 pc. Javaman Elkheart....!
HHA Redman 55@28 & 68" long
2 piece Caribow Slynx
56 inch, 56@28 Great Northern Critter Gitter Special with a straight jack knifed grip. All osage with an action wood core. Man! (as I wipe the drool from my chin), that would be the ticket! But alas - I must shoot this bow in my dreams cause Jerry don't make them anymore.
I've been going through this thread once in a while and I'm glad I don't have the opportunity to order a "dream bow". I've had a couple that I thought were as good as it could possibly be and then wanted to try something different.
I got an RER LXR this year that is the most beautiful bow I've ever owned. It should be my dream bow, but I just ordered a dual-shelf Holm Made River Runner.
I have some bows I'm very proud of and really enjoy shooting. Hope I never order my "Dream Bow" 'cause that'll have to be the end of it then - sell all the others and settle down married to one bow :)
Sarrels Blueridge takedown longbow!
Bisch
My new Toelke Classic Whip should be here in a week or two. Really looking forward to it.
Mine will be here in a couple of months. Yellowstone Half-Breed, 60"AMO, Three Piece T/D longbow, #55@28", Grey Actionwood riser black locust limbs. Every time I think about my bow those few short months get longer and longer.
I would love to have a Takedown Big Jim Buffalo Bow. I have alot of Dream Bows... But a Buffalo is at the top of my list right now. Thunderstick Moab a close second.
There's a BUNCH out there that would probably qualify as a "Dream Bow", but I think my first choice would be a Timberghost Take-down with a few different limbs, so it'd be like more than 1 bow.
Bear T/D with an A riser.
58" Black Widow PSA (I reserve the right to change this at any time!)
A Kanati LB made entirely of tulipwood or black/white ebony, under clear glass on the limbs of course.
Or, the same woods in a 56" Black Widow PAX.
Already have my Javaman Elkheart on order.....so....Blacktail recurve it is...
ALL CURLY MAPLE STANDARD RISER ZIPPER RECURVE W/ MATCHING QUIVER.
Right now I would say centaur DM with curly Kia highlights - must be takedown.
Right now I would say centaur DM with curly Kia highlights - must be takedown.
Silver tip longbow checkered grip. And a bow bolt
One piece pronghorn. Brown action wood riser. Brown glass back and belly. Copperhead skins. Antler tips with a brown beavertail grip. 60". 65@27.
A Dean Torges Firestyk. (He'd also show up at the house and show me how to make them!)
Caribow Wolverine at 48# Bocote, Cocobolo, Quilted maple limbs.
I am truly blessed because I already have my dream bow(s), which are Buffalo bows and Thunderchild bows by Big Jim
Every day at work I look at my bow rack in front of my desk, and I fell ready for whatever will be thrown at me!
F-Manny
Probably another Palmer or a Bob Lee.
Silvertip TD Recurve, say 62" and somewhere between 54-58@30 FF and checkered low grip, Gabboon/ Coccobolo Dymondwood flare handle and Yew limbs...nah I've never thought about it much.
The first bow I ever bough was a brand new martin hunter with three different woods in it a grey action wood, Shedua and bubinga? It felt perfect in my hand. I was severely overbowed at 70lbs though so sold it.
So a Martin Hunter made in the 2006 era at 40lbs. I'd pay good money for.
Covert hunter with copperhead skins.
Two piece Whip or a Berry.
Kirks new Bigfoot Stealth is right up there on my list...... He is a very talented bowyer who definitely thinks outside the box...... Which is good for us ;)
My dream bow is an Ed Mikuta all bamboo take-down recurve (bamboo handle and limbs).
A Jay Massey selfbow or one of his sinewed bows would be mine. After building selfbow and seeing some of them there's no way, if I had my choice, I would take a production bow over functional, deadly, natural art work... although... If I had to choose glass...it would be a caribow tiagua. I had one and it was beautiful.
