Where are you guys at? I am tuning my new Sasquatch and I love the flight of my arrows at just under 21% FOC. That is a 618 gr arrow. I am pulling #55 @ 31". These arrows slam the target hard.
Depends, on deer I don't care what my foc is. However, when I hunt bigger stuff I like over 20%.
My setup is right at 22% FOC. 530gr arrow from a 48.6# longbow.

I'm right at 23% FOC. 630 gr arrow 53#@26 from a recurve.
My hunting set up has been running right at 19%. 568 grains with 220 up front with the same set up you have bro, only mine is 55@30".
Is this the 5575's you got going at 21%? Did you bump your strike out a fuzz?
I think my FOC is going to jump up this year by changing my broadheads to a heavier single bevel Grizzly. I bought some of those 185 grain heads, and like the looks of the 200 grain even better. I'm right on the line with my 5575's with brass & 160 grain points right now. I think I'm going to have to buy some 7595's or possibly go with CE Heritage 300's.

Using quite similar arrow weights, the penetration gain between 12% FOC and 21% is mute.The 21% arrow merely has 2% advantage since. There are no measureable gains until exceeding 19% FOC.
From an easily perceptible gain, in my experience, significant penetration gains have been observed once exceeding 25%. As my setups climb to 30% and above the penetration gains are eye opening. The penetration gains are not linear as when climbing into the lower 20's, the gains may yield an approx. 5% penetration increase for a 1% FOC increase. Climbing near 30%, the penetration gains may yield an approx.. 8% gain for a 1% FOC increase.
I am typically parked at 30% UFOC. Personally am fond of 32% UFOC, however the extreme excessive target wear and the game I pursue does not warrant this particular arrow design.
Note: Utilizing a 611 gn arrow with 400 gn up front...tipped with a BIG 3, the arrow marked the doe's brisket.....travelled full body length and exited approx. 6 -8 inches out the back inner thigh...she layed down on the spot. Totally disintegrated a 1 yr guaranteed 18 in 1 Rhinehart target in 3 ½ weeks and an Eagle layered target in 2 ½ weeks. Often had to use an arrow puller and knock down targets at 3D events....all shot out of a 51@28 bow.
Results from one's own testing will be the best guide and a valued confidence builder.
They are the 55/75's. I haven't had the chance to shim the side plate yet. These 55/75's are rockets and they hit HARD. I just need to balance FOC without going super heavy overall weight
690 grains total, 30% foc, longbow 63#@26". I draw 25-25.5 inches.
60 pound recurve at 27 1/4" draw, 2117 610 grain aluminum arrow, 12% FOC, 175 grain BH.
I shoot wood so 15% and a bit more sometimes. 650 gns total weight shoot a 50# ACS 3 pc longbow. :thumbsup:

Depends on the arrows I'm using. One set is 700grs and 34.4%
The other set is 800grs and 31.2%
740gr, 260 up front, 22% with Tonkin bamboo.

My arrows are Trad Only, 300 spine, full length, 285 up front.About 625 total.
This gives about 23% FOC.
Nice flatish trajectory out to 35 yards or better.

After trying EFOC, shooting under 50# draw, talking to those who have done the most research on this, I started searching out lighter GPI arrows... and then useing over-footing to compensate for the ligher shaft walls.
All in the desire to retain high FOC, but NOT end up shooting rebar weight arrows.
I'm in the high 20% with 300 up front but use the lighter target version shafts... 585 total with 27% works well for me and they reach out there, but I've seen critters do too many things while arrows are in flight to take shots over 20 in 99% of all situations...and in the cover I hunt!
That is exactly what I'm going for. So far everything stiff enough is heavy
