Hi folks.Ive just recently started building my own arrows from cedar shafts, thanks to a lot of info gathered from fellow tradgangers, thanks. My first couple batches were groups of 5 because I broke a couple trying to straighten them.Anyway, instead of cap dipping them I spray painted them, using tape to keep a straight line.Ive used yellow, white and red spray paint of different brands. Not to be boastful, but after cresting them and dipping them in polly, theyre "10pointerlicious" beautiful.I cant wait to hunt them or shoot them at 3 d's,indoors of course cause I dont want to get them dirty, lol. Was wondering if anyone else has tried spraying arrows. If not maybe some of you other new guys just starting out should give it a try before buying enough laquer to fill a dip tube.Ill be posting some pics after I finally fletch them to see what everyone thinks.

I have all the dipping stuff, but spray anyway. I've always had good results, using Krylon and Duco.

I buy the cheap spray paint at Wally world. works great.

I've sprayed a cap with good results. Pretty quick way to do it.
Any chance of pix of yours?

I've masked off diamonds along the whole length of the shaft and sprayed it. Dipping leaked under the tape more than spraying did. It so well that I sprayed on the clear coat too!
