Nice. I do like the design of that bow. Does he make a recurve?

That is a unique look!
-
Whoa! That thing is killer.
-
Man , That thing is just awesome!!! What a writeup./ I believe it is the best one I have ever read. Great writing and descriptive of Kirks bow. I know that some of these Flatliners have hit recurve performance levels and that is unheard of for this kind of bow. Kirk is the real deal when it comes to bowyering.
As to this particular bow, Well I called my wife in to look at it. That says a lot. It is simply spectacular and unique.
God bless, Steve

I'm jealous!
-
Very nice!
-
I agree with Steve, Chuck, that is a very sincere and well written evaluation.
Kirk models what a preacher said at a good friend's funeral..."A man of character and a character of a man... :)
I like when a bowyer isn't afraid to test the status quo and figure out what really works and what can be improved upon. Not just go by what's been done...
Many do that, but I found Kirk's work to just be "different" in ways that my hand and shooting seem to prefer.
I can't get over how those colors and grain came thru... However Kirk does it, his pictures always do justice...that is one sweet looking bow, Hoss!

I've had to come back for seconds and thirds. That is one really great looking bow. I do wonder why he didn't paint in the dorsal stripe. That's all it needs to hit a well placed plug. It would jump right out of your hands for a Jitterbug.
God bless, Steve

 kinda gives a whole new imagery to "bow fishing" doesn't it, Steve?

Different, but I like it.
-
Great write up Chuck- The magazines need to hire you!
I'm a big natural wood grain kind of guy- liking wood best when it shows off the natural qualities of the wood. Dang, that bow is really nice and well thought out- love that thing!
BTW, Chuck, I now own your old Toelke SS though cant shoot it for awhile with my elbow tendonitis

I really like the green. Of course, I am also a 70's future wood fan...
Nice bow
-
Good looking bow!
-
Nice review. Thanks.
-
I tell ya what, I love your review of a bow, it is good stuff. That is a cool bow, I hope you enjoy it. One of these days, I will have one of Kirk's bows.
-
if wishes were horses, beggars would ride...
I too wish I could order more of his bows... but I only got two arms and hands and can't shoot more'n one... but the Static, flush limb bolt...all speak to me.
If I were rich instead of...no, if I were rich covers it! :saywhat: :knothead:
These artisans, depend on us to stay alive.

Been doing a lot of looking...... I do believe my next bow will be one of his flat liners with a zebrawood riser and ???? Limb alms....... Great looking bows. I love the recurve but am a much better shot with a longbow.
-
Wow I really love that color scheme. Kind of reminds me of the old candy coat of the 70's custom air brush cars! Thinking fall maple leaf colors would be cool.
-
Well done, Kirk and Chuck! Great review and great bow!
