About a month ago I received a Cheyenne that I purchased from a fellow ganger, and wow what a bow. Bob sure does know how to build them.
The bows spec are: 58" 58#@28". The handle is koa, and the limbs are carbon foam with bacote veneers.
I had been in the market to try something new and had always heard great things about Bob's bows, but was honestly leaning more towards a Zipper or Tall tines. However I saw this gem pop up on the classified and knew that I had to give it a go.
The mass weight of this bow is really nice. I was concerned that with the Cheyenne slim profile and with foam limbs it would be a little light, but with a GN quiver and some 600 grain arrows, it really feels great and balances perfect.
The grip fits me like a glove. It is cut fairly low which is right up my alley. This was the first thing that I noticed when I pulled it out of the box and loved it. However my next move will be to send it off to to Schafer to get it checkered as I have really been turned on to this recently.
I have shot quite a few different bows in my day, but have not found one yet that points as natural as this, and that I can group quite as well with in the first day of shooting. The ganger that I bought this from made up a new 8190 string for me, which has been a great string even though I am used to SBD's. I added bow hush and puppies to it and it is the quietest recurve that I have owned, and still is able to really zip my heavy arrows. I have not been able to chrono it yet but think I will be pleasantly surprised.
All in all I am now a firm believer in Bob's bows and would recommend them to anyone. I plan on this being my sole hunting bow this fall and feel confident that it will put a hurtin on some critters.
Thanks Mike "Gottabow" for a fine bow and being such a great guy to do business with.

Jake
Do you happen to know the riser/limb configurations?
Jake
Very nice. Bobs bows are shooters for sure. The checkering will really set it off. Dave checkered all my Morrisons for me.
Yep, my favorite bow! Good deal you will love it. I got a beaver grip for mine. Really like it.
Very nice bow, congrats,Bob is for sure a master bowyer

One word of warning: Every bow you shoot after this will be a disappointment ;)
Most excellent!
I've always liked Morrisons and that is a looker right there! Well done mate.
ak.
Bob's "pine cones" are a form of checkering. Love the cones on my Shawnee.

How true!!!
Thanks Everyone, I have been very happy with it.
It is a tough bow to put down once you start shooting.
My problem now is putting it down long enough to send it off to get checkered!
I'm not normally a big Morrison fan due to I don't like snakeskins.... but I love this bow...sans the snakeskins.... I don't blame you for loving it..!! Great bow..
I don't like snakeskins or any type of veneer on the limbs either.
Beautiful Bow!
That is a great bow. I love my Cheyenne recurves. Bob is a great guy and an awesome bowyer. Good luck with it.
Agreed...picked one up myself this week on the big auction....one of the quietest recurve that I've shot...Congrats on yours...

I have three Morrison's and growing (2 Shawnee' and 1 Cheyenne). I just purchased another set of recurve limbs for my Cheyenne. Who knows.... may have to get another riser to go with them...Hmmm???
You won't be sorry!
The best shooting bow I've ever owned is my Morrison Cheyenne, B riser, with Max 1 D limbs. It redefined smmoth, quiet and fast for me!
Bill
What a beautiful bow! Bet it shoots great ! Good find!
Oh my gawsh!!! Why is it left handed???? Because if it were righty I would be blowing ur pm box up.
Thanks guys, I have been enjoying it!
I still havent been able to put it down long enough to send off to get checkered..
Great Bow,all of Bob's creations shoot well!
Congrats!Wish my health would allow me to play with mine.
Good looking stick! It appears that the shelf was cut on the wrong side of the riser though! :bigsmyl:

So I decided to send the riser back to Bob to get "pine coned" and wow! I went with the full pine cone and am very impressed with the feel and finish. I have only shot with it one day but can really tell the difference in my consistency on grip placement.
Bob is a great guy to deal with, and I love this bow.

One of the nicest Morrisons I've seen.
Very Nice
The detail in those pine cones is amazing! Congrats.
That is a stunning bow, congrats!
really like the Pine Cone. Looking closer, are the pedals of the cone as sharp as they appear in the pick, or is it just a really close up pick.
Georgeous bow!!
Thanks guys it feels great. The pedals are sharp, but are Angled back down into the riser so it doesn't bother your hand.
Told ya so. ;)
Bob's pine cones serve the same purpose as checkering but with a different aesthetic. Yes, they almost hurt when you first start to shoot with them but now, a bow in hand feels strange if it doesn't have pine cones.
Beautiful bow and great choice!
