I attended the Wisconsin Traditional Archers bowjam over the weekend at Brian Collins' home near Green Bay. There were about 20 people who worked on selfbows. All of us learned a lot from Howard Edwards, Don, and Brian. Several young people joined us greybeards in the fun, which was great to see. Here are some pix of the event.

There were a few people who had their bows about ready to string up and shoot on Sunday, but I had to leave before then.
Looks like very similar to OJAM here in Okla. I know that it's a GREAT time! Glad to see something like it in other areas of the country!
My daughter and I are sure hoping that Terry Lightle got enough pix and material for the article about OJAM that he was talking about putting together for you. (That's actually the biggest reason she started building a bow, because she had a CHANCE at being in your magazine! Lol! )
Love seeing this post!!! Glad you northerners are having (almost) as much fun as us Okie's! :dunno:
Thanks for getting those pics up Tom. Looks like there was good turnout. The benches turned out nice. I will be there for sure next year.
Looks like a Fun event. Maybe next week there will be leaves on your trees? lol.
Charlie, it was a fun event. Morning temp Saturday was @ 26 degrees, so the leaves are just biding their time until the weather warms up. Look for them in July. LOL! At least the mosquitoes were not around. The benches that Don made were excellent and easy to use, too.
Cool! I love seeing (and attending) outings like this. Cool to see lots of folks getting involved.
Those benches are very cool... do you know where the plans to make them came from?
Let's give this a bump for all the effort that was put into this outstanding event.
