Post by: Prairie Drifter on May 17, 2014, 08:25:00 PM
Does any one have both and can post a pic side by side? I have some JDA's still and wan to compare them to the platinums.

I don't have pic's but have had both of them. The JDA's were a duller gray then the Platinum Plus. The Platinum's don't come in the larger or heavier spine sizes like 2219's,which were the ones I had in JDA's.

I really like the Dougherty Naturals.  I had some 2016s and I cut them for a specific bow and I couldn't shoot them out my Silvertips or TallTines.

Mike, this may not help either.I don't have any JD's.This first picture compares 2 platinums to a Classic and a Camo Hunter. The footing in the second picture shows the color fairly accurate. If you need,I can send you a piece of platinum shaft.

I agree with JRY309. I have a few foots I cut from a JDN 1917. There is a shade difference but I wonder if the shaft I cut the foots from faded over time? It seems to me a fresh doz. shafts look brighter-darker than used ones.

Jim,
Those pics help a bunch. It's not necessary to send me a piece, thanks for the offer.
