And it's a static recurve!
Thought I'd show you all what Jim has been working on for quite a while now. Being as picky as he is about his bows he wouldn't let it out till it was perfect. Well here it is, and it's not just an awesome new bow, it's great news for current Firefly Bow owners as well!
Here is the first Firefly static recurve to hit Braveheart and it's a looker. Stunning zebrawood riser with gorgeous spalted maple limb veneers under clear glass. The limbs also feature Jim's special "Firecore" limb cores which make for a very stable, smooth and fast bow. This one is 46# at 28". I had to put some arrows through it and Jim has hit it out of the park, this bow is a shooter!
The beauty of this bow is you get the light handling features of a Firefly hybrid longbow, but the shooting characteristics of a quiet recurve. Here's the other big news! Jim has worked hard on this design so he can make static limbs to fit your EXISTING Firely Bow riser.
The Firefly static recurve is available in 56", 58" or 60" AMO. If you have one of the 17" Firefly risers lengths of 62" and 64" AMO are also possible. Price is the same as the current bows, no price increase at $699.
Enough blabber now some pics.

That's a good looking bow !

Very Nice!!
-
Great looking bow! Man, I wanna shoot one!
Lippe

If it shoots anything like the longbow it will be awesome.
-
I love static recurves........ good looking bow.
-
If it shoots like a firefly...a static limb can only make a nice bow even better
-
I REALLY like that!!! Nice Job Jim!!!
Thanks for the heads up BA!

That IS a very nice piece of zebra! One of my favorites. If it were a few pounds heavier, I might have to give it a new home. And I've always had a soft spot for spalted maple.
I'm not much of a recurve guy, but I got to try out the pass around Tuktu from Abe Penner, and these statics sure do shoot nice. I've heard a lot of good things about Firefly Bows, and this makes me want to try one even more. I like what Jim did with his tip wedges on this one. Looks very classy.
You should try and talk him into a pass around! I'll be the first one to sign up.
How about a full draw pic? Pleeease...
-
I'll see what I can do about a full draw pic, I didn't think of that when I shot, that woulda been a good idea!
This bow is still available though it has generated local interest too... to purchase this or any Firefly stock bow email us at:

Jim makes a heck of a good bow so im sure this bow is a very good shooter
-
Braveheart,
Did ya ever get a chance to take a couple full-draw pics before it went away? (I'm assuming it didn't last long).

Sorry Stump, been pretty busy! Here you go. I draw a hair over 28". This bow is still available, it's generated a lot of interest but we still have it at the moment.

Thanks Braveheart! 60" is too short for me but one in 64" may have a future here!!!
I can't believe the first Static from Jim hasn't sold yet... That's CRAZY!!!!
Appreciate the pics. If Jim finishes another one on a long riser, please let us see that one too if you have time.
All the Best,
Stump

That's what I'm saying all right. These are a win-win, cool new bow and a great option for current Firefly owners too.
