Pig's and pig sign has been pretty much non existant around here lately..
Last night we had 3.5" of much needed rain and today the temps were back down in the low to mid 60's.. I thought it was a perfect evening for a hunt.
I walked through the briars and thickets for quite a while when I finally saw 3 pigs come out of the woods and swim the swollen creek. They stopped in some berry thickets, low growing vines. They were doing some fine berry picking when I eased into range.
I was shooting my JD Berry Renainssance that I've had from several years, it is 66" and about 51 pounds at my draw. The doug fir arrow buried to the fletch in the pig. I knew he was done for.
Long walk for an old guy !

Congrats on the kill!
Where was this at in Texas?
I was wondering when we'd see another hero pic! Nice hunting. What model Berry were you carrying?
Pig killin' machine!
Congrats... again.

That "Old Guy" must be the pig huh???
Way to go, Pat!

Congrats Pat!!
Congrats. You're doing way better than me one hogs. I have been out the last two nights and haven't seen a thing.
Pat, for an "old guy" you sure do get it done. :archer2:
Very nice Pat
CONGRATS pat! Always out getting at it way to go
Don't know how old you are Pat but I sure do admire your hog hunting skills. Please keep the pics coming.
Congrats on another nice hog, and glad y'all got some of that rain. We managed to pick up 5.25" over the past few days.....something we have not seen for at least 6 years.
Hadn't seen one of your posts for a while, I figured you had killed all the pigs in Texas. I guess at least one was left. Congrats on some more pork.
:archer:
Congrats Pat. Beauty of a bow as well!
Good job Pat!! Always excited to read your post cause there's usually a pig down!!
It's been a while since I've seen a pat b post. You need to give those pigs a breather once in a while or you won't have any to hunt.
Congrats on the pork.
 Now go get the other 2.......LOL!
The most amazing part of that story is not you killing a hog, which you do handily, but that you got rain in TX.
Buddy in Amarillo says it's been a long, long time since they had rain--- dust storms and now brush fires and high winds! Sad
Congrats AGAIN! :)
Glad to hear from you again Pat. You always tell a great story - Great pig!
Mark, you and I are the same age -- 60.
Sure seems like an old 60 to me...
Donald has us beat by two years !

Congrats on the nice pig! :archer:
Congrats Pat! Thanks for sharing!

Pat "the killin' machine" does it again!!!
Nice shot.

Anybody else notices that Pat has posted 2500 times now and 90% of the time it has a picture of a dead critter in it
He is one of only a handful posting here that can say that. My post are mostly "fluff" his is of "substances" Great job Pat!
Congratulations Pat!
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
The hide on the piggie is shore purdy!
BTW - what BH did you happen to have on the end of your shaft this time?
Enjoy the feast!
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
Brother, looks like you got another fine one. I have not seen a hog in a couple months my way.
Nice pig Congrats.
Pat if you ever do get old or quit hunting their is going to be a serious Hog problem in Texas.
A Zwickey NM...

Well done Pat!
You "ROCK" Pat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
