Title: VT Turkey
Post by: Steve Leffler on May 11, 2014, 06:04:00 PM
It has been really slow so far in VT.  I have hunted a bunch of mornings without hearing or seeing much.  This am this bully jake came in with 4 other jakes.  He was the biggest and was beating up on the other jakes then my decoy.  After giving me a good show,  I shot and broke his hip and into the vitals.  He didn't even make it a step.  I love LandSharks! Life gets much busier over the next couple weeks so I was super happy to get a bird on what's shaping up to be a tough year.  (//%5Burl=http://s100.photobucket.com/user/p143297/media/P1010008_zps938ab0cd.jpg.html%5D%20%5Bimg%5Dhttp://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m14/p143297/P1010008_zps938ab0cd.jpg) [/IMG]

Fantastic!!  It has been slow here in my part of Maine also.  I think we lost a bunch of birds at the end of winter.  He looks like a trophy to me!

Thanks everyone.  Equipment used was Black Widow PSR 59@29.  Carbon Express arrows fletched with last years turkey feathers and LandSharks for broad-heads.  I have to say I have been really impressed with the LandSharks on turkeys.  I have shot about a dozen birds with them and the birds are typically down in sight.

Great job Steve. Sorry i missed this thread back in May. Don't come on here like I used too. My record still stands. I had a lot of jakes around me this year but they hit that 30 yd wall and I couldn't get them any closer.
