About a week ago I got a phone call from Jim Neaves of Centaur Archery because he had an instock chimera than came out at my weight. I said okay well send me some pictures. This is what I got.

I called Jim and told him I would pass because I wasnt crazy about the turquoise.
I spent the next day thinking about it and staring at the picture. Without getting too mushy I'll explain why I decided to buy it. I was talking to my fiance about the bow and how I wanted my next bow to be the one bow that I have forever. Long story short the bow ended up reminding me of her (she has blonde hair and blue eyes) and now it is on its way to me.
A picture Jim sent me Friday night.

This is my second centaur so I know how this bow is going to shoot lights out and look amazing.
looks sweet.
No doubt about it Jim's bows are light out! Can't wait to see the finish bow. Are you getting Finger grooves?
Cool. I bought one recently....outstanding bow.
I didn't do finger grooves on this one because I don't use them. I did add a thumb rest though.
One week isnt too bad of a wait time for one of his bows :readit: :goldtooth:
Great looking bow.
Yep, I think it'll look great. I love Centaurs and cannot wait to have my own someday.
YOU DONE GOOD!! ;)
I have one to be built next month! :bigsmyl:
You done reeeaaal good!
Details!! Length, weight, woods, ect....
Sweet looking bow. After having a few :saywhat: I'm a big fan of going with only two finger grooves and the thumbrest.
Scott, I don't think the bows gonna work for you. I think that turquoise color is gonna mess it up. Being a really good guy I'm willing to do you a solid and you can ship it to me. Although it will be painful to look at and to shoot I am willing to suffer through it. :goldtooth: I love my Centaur!
Congrats !!! Looking forward to more pictures.

I didn't get to put a whole lot of arrows through it but the 30 or so I shot were all awesome. It has everything you would want in a bow.
Looks: Freakin awesome!! The bow has a glow to it and is so unique looking. I can't wait to bring it to a shoot and show it off. The pictures really dont do it justice.
Ergonomics: I sent Jim some pictures of grips that I've really like in the past and of course my hand tracing. He nailed the grip. It couldnt be any better.
Quiet: Whisper quiet
Handshock: None. On release the bow is just dead in the hand. Which is a little weird at first because you see the arrow screaming toward the target.
Speed: For a 46 lbs bow shooting 500 grain arrows this bow is surprisingly fast. I have a 45 pound Toelke 65 SS coming and will do a chrono comparison between the two.
Smooth Draw: I have a 30 inch draw length and can't feel an ounce of stack at my draw length.
Fit and finish: Flawless. The finish on this bow is way better than my glass centaur.
It has a feel to it that is hard to describe but it feels really good to shoot.
I still have to get it tuned up and make up some doug fir arrows for it.
Yup Centaurs rule. Top of the mountain. Glad you're enjoying that one, I like the color contrast.
Long story short. I love love love this bow and I will never sell this one. I want to shoot it more but it won't stop raining :help:
It really does look great.
Nice bow Scott get you a beaver tail grip put on it and you talking about the most awesome grip, Ahhhhh as Jerry Clower would say.
