Had a great morning hunting before work today. This was my 3rd trip out and I finally found a bird traveling alone. I hunt without a blind, so the fewer eyes the better. I caught this guy sneaking around behind me in the woods and I gave him a few soft purrs with a mouth call and he puffed up. As he went behind a big beech tree, I swiveled around and got on my knees. When he worked from behind the tree he moved closer and was spin strutting. When he was facing away and his head covered by his fan, I drew and aimed for the little round target we all know so well. Arrow flew true and he flew no more! Great bird with 10" beard and 1" spurs. Was shooting my South Cox Stalker Coyote and wood arrows tipped with Rotthaar Snuffer.
Awesome job. Congrats!
Nice bird, especially without a blind!
Congratulations. Been wanting to do that without a blind as well.
Sweet!

Great job! It's a lot tougher without a blind! I'll be getting a Coyote static from South in a month or two.
