Title: Staghorn Recurves
Post by: joe skipp on September 21, 2007, 10:36:00 AM
Looking for a Staghorn Recurve from the late 60's to early 70's. They were Mfg in Michigan, I believe. Anyone with any info....I would appreciate it.

They were manufactured in Merrill, Wisconsin. Very good bows and Bill Pyle was ahead of his time with some of the construction techniques he used. Look up XP who frequents this site. Don't know if you can pry any from his hands but is worth a try. Also, from time to time they show up on ****.

Joe, Look up Mike Steliga at Bruin bows. He lives in Antigo, WI., which is the town next to Merrill. Bill Pyle taught Mike the craft, and as of a couple years ago, Mike had a few Staghorns laying around in his showroom. Good luck.
