Well I've spent the last two days with my Elkheart and I must admit I'm blown away. I've owned at least 50 bows over the last couple of years and this thing is incredible. Super light, smooth, perfect grip and shoots an arrow faster then I dreamed possible for a longbow. I'm not easily impressed and this thing has blown me away. Couple that with the fact I'm a PIA as a customer and I've been met with nothing but incredible service from Mr. Coffey and this bow is an all around win. I'll get pictures up when I can. It's a 58" T/D, #52@28, with myrtle veneers I sourced from IdahoCurt. Riser is phenolic with mung ebony grip and tip overlays. I feel bad for having handicapped Mr. Coffey by making him use the materials I required, but he still managed to deliver above and beyond my wildest expectations. You all need to get on the list!
I have often heard it mentioned that the Elkheart and Shrew Classic hunter were one in the same. I can now most assuredly tell you that they are not! The Elkheart is a giant leap forward, if the CH is version 1.0 the Elkheart is at least 3.0, I mean it's that good folks. Faster, quieter, it has it all. The lineage is most assuredly there, but you will see the difference.
That's a bow I admire and one I would love to own. Congrats.
Brad, you have to show pics, its not even an option LOL
:dunno: :nono: Pics!?!?
'Tis a restless mob, we are...
Great! I got a Falcon on order and only hear great things about both the Elkheart and Falcon.
Please share some pics!
I'm afraid my photography skills don't do this bow justice , but to settle the growing mob! Lol

A fine specimen
I think the profile picture will also show how much more aggressive this bow is then a CH.
Jack, I was torn between the 58" Elkheart and 60" falcon. I don't have a really long draw length, about 29", but I prefer the longer bows. I'm sure I could have gotten away with a shorter bow, my I like having it all. I might be leaving a touch of performance on the table with the longer bow, but I have no regrets.
Yes that is nice,THE ultimate hunting bow.
Wow, I bet you shoot it good as well. Nice one buddy.
Love the profile on that bow. What a beautiful bow. Gregg is top notch. Congratulations I'm jealous.
Man! I love those myrtle veneers!!!! I've heard nothing but good about the bow and bowyer.
Congrats very nice bow. The TD option makes it perfect for my needs.
Sure is pretty.
Just curious....is that your moving target set in the background :scared:
Gregg is a great guy and his bows are a reflection of that. Looks like another beauty! Hope you have a great season with it.
When you finally get that one bow that blows your mind....such a great thing!
And to have it look as nice as yours, well...plenty of icing on your cake!
Awesome...!!!
I second what Steve said. Jim
Gregg makes a fantastic bow. Top notch craftsmanship, from tip to tip. Nice guy to deal with too.
Thanks for all the nice comments. One could be had like that very quickly: See St Judes auction Forum 3.
