Those of you shooting Super Shrews in the 60 plus pound range...I would appreciate hearing your opinions on how they perform. I own a 61# @28 Classic Hunter and I'm very pleased with how this bows shoots. Thinking of ordering a new SS at around 65# and was just curious to know what your experiences are.
The heaviest Shrew I have shot is my 57# Lil' Favorite but I dont think you can go wrong with a Shrew at any weight. I wouldnt think a 65# would hamper the smoothness or that special feel a Shrew has at all. I know Ron used to shoot HEAVY bows. E-mail him and see what he has to say.
Just curious why you would want to shoot more than 61 pounds? I have a 55Lb Classic Hunter and there is not an animal in north america I would not hessitate to hunt with it. It delivers tons of knetic energy? Like I said just curious?
That is a good question AA and IK probably could go less...but some of these South American critters are tough. I will most likely just keep it around 61#...I never read much about SS bows in the 60# range and almost never hear of them being used on the larger NA animals so it has me wondering. Your opinions help.
Tim, I'll call Ron, but would still like to hear from you guys also.
Hey check out the picture on Ron's web page!
