KME (knife sharpener) is all I use to get mine VERY sharp. I am sharpening challenged and cannot hardly get a butter knife sharp enough to do its job without a KME!

Haven't shot mine yet but took them across my strop and they were sharpest thing I ever did myself but they were pretty darn sharp already!

Mine were far sharper out of the pack than any other head I've had...it took 6 shots into my 3d target before they would not shave. Now I have to get them sharp again. I know the KME will work, but I was hoping for a cheaper option.

A leather strop with some "Yellowstone Compound" (Google)on it will do the job if the head doesn't need reshaping the edge with stones.

If they were easier to sharpen they'd be my only head. Get them sharp and they are unbelievably unbelievably deadly. I've been advised to used sand paper on a mouse pad.

I'm so bad at sharpening things, that once I learned to do it correctly on the KME I quit trying other methods.

In fact, my KME is ONLY for my broadheads! I have the angle set for the broadheads and NEVER move it. It is much easier now to resharpen them as the angle is always the same. My buddy asked me once if he could use my KME to sharpen his knife, and I told him "Only if you want to sharpen it at 19 degrees because you are not changing the angle of my KME!!!!"

I use the same stones and method to sharpen my Silverflames as I do my hunting knife. I also hone them like my knife before they get dull.

Is the angle hard to set?

No! I am just real bad at sharpening things and figure if I never move it, it will always be the exact same!

I'm not great at it either. I did finally learn how to get a three blade sharp, but I've not had much luck with two blades.
