I just bought a dozen Gold Tip Traditional 7595/300 Arrows and thought I'd foot them like I do with my other carbon arrows - with an Easton 2117. But, the ID of the 2117 isn't big enough for the GT arrows.
Does anybody have tips on what shaft I should use?
2219 works well on my 5575 GT TRAD.
If you check the Gold Tip website the outside diameter for the 55/75 is several thousandths less than the 75/95...the o.d. of a 75/95 is .311/.312

Thanks DDave. Should have looked at the GT website.
So, the 7595 has an OD of .311 and the 2215 has an ID of .328 or .329. Not sure if that's enough clearance.
I use 2216. To me they seem like a perfect fit. I see 2219 recommended but I think they will be too tight.

Dan
I second 2216. 2216 Also work on CX Heritage 350.
I love footing my carbons. I shot a CX 350 at a cinder block and a granite rock with a 2" footing up front n a .5" on the nock end and it still didn't break!
2317 is what I use on 75/95 trads.

A guy can sand to get a better fit 7595 are a lil tight w/ 2216. I sand down my inserts to get over em if I am footing arrows with inserts installed and fletched.
On my chart the 2215 has an ID of .3138 which should be enough. At any rate,it would be less tight than a 2216.
Bob, If you are interested in buying footings already to glue on Vintage Archery ( TUFFHEAD ) has a footing kit to fit your arrow . Order the" Arra Foot kit # 3
I do mine with 2216s also
Hummmm... . I couldn't get the 2216 to go over. Maybe a little sanding.
Doing the math, it looks like a 2215 would be perfect if I only had one.
