Wonderful craftsmanship / art..bet it's a shooter also.
WHAT BELLY WOOD???
Assume the tip finials are of horn?
Beautiful! I love John's bows, he is a true artist
Beautiful! John Strunk definitely got skills!
I have a collection of John's bows. He is a masterful bowyer. Bet you can't have just one :) .
Eastern: Belly is Osage. Oregon: yes the tip o'lays are horn. I am told that is a Strunk hallmark. Thanks for all the good comments and this one won't be my last Strunk for sure.
Bjorn,
Did you order the bow from John?
Danny
I did Danny. First he made a Boo and Yew 4 layer bow that weakened and developed string follow; then he offered to make this one from a
known stave-it is marvy to look at and shoots really smooth. The Bamboo backing looks to be very thin, so the bow is mostly Osage.
thats a great looking bow and i also like those tips cool touch!
