I did do a search but found nothing so my question is.
Will super glue work well with the minwax poly oil base to glue feathers on woods.
Cheers KIM
I was having some real trouble getting feathers to stick with glues that I normally use with wipe on poly so I went to Locktite Ultra Gel Super glue and the problem is solved.
The fletching tape works too.
I use Duco. Just clean the shaft and feather very lightly with mineral spirits first.
I use Duco!
Duco has glued hundreds of feathers to minwax oil base for me without a single lost feather. Once cured, you have to cut and grind the bases off. I don't know if Duco is available in Australia or not.
Try the super glue and see, it should do fine.
Duco works great-have never had a feather fall off wood. :archer:
3X: Duco or Bohning fletch tape both work fine.
DUCO is the ticket to success.
Thanks guys I have not seen Duco here in Auz but I may try fletch tape for the first time.
Cheers KIM
We use Duco
I use superglue after sealing with min-wax wipe on poly and I have no adhesion problems.
