I Have been really wanting to try a short bow so I now have this 45# KMag on the way - recurve #3 in the last 7mo or so; if this goes the way Encores did with me this isn't going to be good.

A real wood K Mag - oh yeah, it'll be good!
no regrets there!
Anyone have experince with the older Grizzlies and the K Mag? Looks like the K Mag needs a stiffer spined arrow, is that true?
Well I definitely shoot the Grizzly better than the KMag, think it will have to be long term project
They are a little more sensitive to form but really a pretty good shooting bow. That one's a beauty.
Just a guess on my part: go to Moebow's youtube and let him coach your grip. Pressure should be along your life line and on the meat at the base of your thumb. There should be no tension in the grip or fingers. The K Mag has a pretty high wrist grip and many want to grab it like it's a S&W. A high wrist grip is easy to torque and along with being a short bow, the K Mag is pretty susceptible. That is a great bow you have, don't give up on it.
Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I have been working with it and it is coming along. I have no silencers of any kind on it and it is a little loud so now that I'm on board with it 3rivers has an order to put together for me. This traditional thing is a lot of fun! That was helpful Fletcher, Thanks. I just need to be consistent. When you do everything right they work pretty darn well.
I have a lot of bows, but a KMag just fits me. I can pick one up and hit stuff with it. I have found it to be very forgiving of my errors. I think it is because of the deflex of the limbs off the riser, putting the hand well forward of the bow's working parts. The wide limbs will thank you for using a stringer.
These are good, sturdy, zippy little bows, and they love to hunt. Is that a '71?
Killdeer
Well OF COURSE you couldn't help yourself. Any self respecting bow addict knows THAT!
It has to be at least a 73, no 1953 trademark. It can't be much newer than that as it is pre-green.
