About 5 years ago a guy gave me a Damascus glove that I still use sometimes. It seems much thicker and more durable than the more recent Damascus gloves I've seen. Any idea where I can get an "old" one?

No idea unless someone has one laying around but the deerskin gloves are thicker. Done know if there sis something in between the current Damascus and deerskin gloves as far as thickness. Dino

The Damascus glove I got a year or so go is quite thin. Nice leather, but the overall quality is just so so. Excellent feel for the string.
Kustom King has a deerskin glove which is a little thicker, and has a bit more protection on the fingertips. Still very good feel for the string, with a slightly cleaner release. Looks like a better quality glove.
Looks like there are a few different "damascus gloves" on the market - don't know whose is the best made.

That's what I want...something in between a Damascus and a deerskin.
I've had one for years that has cordovan fingertips. I tried to buy another one, and they sent me some flimsy thing that had very thin tips, and wasn't satisfactory at all. Anyway, the cordovan tipped one is worn out, except for the tips, so I'd recommend that one, if you can find it. It was sold as a Damascus glove years ago, I think, but I don't know what it's called now.
