Disclaimer: No squirrels were harmed during this hunt. :biglaugh:
Also, if you are against the use of feeders, do not watch. We went the first weekend, and the birds were gobbling in the am, and doing nothing in the pm, so we set up close to the food. Saying this, we had decoys out, and they worked to bring em close. It is legal to hunt bait in Texas. These are my first vieos to make and edit, so please give me pointers, those of you that do this.
Hope you enjoy.

Awesome job tom I am sure a good bit of work was put forth to it ...way to CHRISTEN the new tall tines thxs for sharing!!
Spurs,
great job on the videos. I would like to suggest on not having music when the turkeys are working or while you are about to shoot. For majority of us, we love to see and hear nature. I could just hear the turkeys gobbling or you calling them over the music, but i would much rather hear the turkey than music. It is also always good to add some footage in of you drawing, this does not necessarily have to be done during the actual shot. In fact, majority of the times, they are not done during the actual shot. I would also suggest not zooming in so much until you have your prey picked out.
I hope I did not cross any boundaries in my comments. If they seem offensive, i assure you they weren't.
Overall, great job.
Nothing offensive about that. I welcome the criticism. I was on the fence about the music at all. The wind was so bad, that it was distracting while watching, so I just turned it down, and overlayed it with music. I hope to get an external mic by deer season.
Yeah. I didn't think about the wind. I hope I can get me a turkey with my longbow soon. What outfitter did you use?
Tom, great job. What camera are you using. There are buffers that will reduce wind noise that you can get. Also, were you guys hunting with an outfitter in Texas? I love turkey hunting looking forward to our season opener here soon. Congrats on the turkey. Looks like a great time.
I am using a 10 power sony pj710 that I bought off of ****. Great quality with the 10 power optical. I just need an external mic, but my budget was blown this year. Not really an outfitter. It started out that way, but the same people go every year, and he has a few more groups, all repeat people. He is a great guy.
Cool videos.
Congrats on the birds!
Cool video. That one poor bird lost a lot of tail feathers.
Congrats!
Awesome videos!
Congrats on the birds!

Great video. Good choice in music with Ryan Bingham. I like the slow motion shot sequence.
Great job on the videos. Makes me wanna try my hand at filming some of my friends hunt. Great taste in music too!
Very cool guys. One problem...I wasnt their with you:)
I am really proud that the camera and software will do slow motion.
I am gonna hunt an Eastern tomorrow after church. Hopefully get it on video if it works out. My good buddy has been watching one for a couple weeks do the same thing. If he sees the dsd's it should get good.
Tom, really fun to watch bud...congrats on the birds!!
You'll see that this video stuff gets very addicting!!
Great video Tom! That was some Turkey, no not Seth :bigsmyl: Great job on filming the hunt, to me it makes an already special time just a little bit more as your able to re-live it again.
That's good, I have killed a bunch of turkeys in Shamrock Texas with a bow over the years. I haven't been there in a while, been going to a different part of the state.
