"Twixt the lip and the string"
Twixt the lip and the string
Lies a brief little thing
Of time and space
Where the archer will sing
In hopes of the chance
Of an arrow to fling
And in his mind's eye
He'll see the missile fly
To the intended target
In the breath of a sigh
And life will be still
Yet go on by and by
Now on the stand waiting
For what the day will bring
In tune with his heart beat
The archer will sing
And dream a little dream
Twixt the lip and the string
