Title: Cuttin Width
Post by: PastorSteveHill on September 19, 2007, 06:26:00 PM
Fellows, please help me here. I dont claim to be smart so here it goes..

A 3 blade head with 1.5 cutting diameter vrs. a 4 blade head with 1 1/8 cutting diameter. which will give the biggest hole?

Does the 4th blade make a difference?  I know on the surface I would think the 3 blade, but the 4th blade comes into play no???

Brother, you started a very opinionated question.

From my experience, nothing has ever beat the big snuffer.  I have always felt like a big diameter gives you a better chance of cutting a vital on a marginal hit, plus gives you more cutting surface.
my second favorite was the old mag 1s which looked like the new sasquatch head only it wasn't stainless and had a solid bleeder, not a replacement blade.

If all of the 4 blades are the same size  both broadheads give 2.25" of cut. If the 4 blade has small bleeders it will have less cut length.
