Isn't it breathtaking?
OH MY!
What thing is sweet!!!!!!!
Holy moly!
Almost hate to use the darn thing. Almost.
But I bet it never goes hunting.
I would never buy that bow, it would torture me if I dinged it, bless the owner, way too much pressure, but hats off to Norm, how long does it take to make one of these bows.
It would take TxAg a lot of paint to cover all that carving!
Wow!
Very ornate reminds me of a cuckoo clock ;)
That is some AWESOME detail work right there!
I'm like Longstick64 though, I don't think I could own that without having a heart attack every time anything touched it!
Bisch
OMG!!!! very nice but I do not think I could spend that much for a bow, don't get me wrong, I have spent some money for bows but never that much for one bow. That is an heirloom bow, one ment for investment and never shot and I cannot see not shooting a bow.

Haha, i got a good laugh at this!
Cool bow!
Wow!!
Wow... Now that is some real craftsmanship there neighbor.
Danny, If I had the Dinero I would buy one in a heartbeat. I just don't have it.
It is definitely a one of a kind collectable. Something you would hand down to you children or grandchildren.
As stated, if I could afford it I would buy one and I would definitely shoot it. It reminds me of the ornate muzzleloaders of yesteryear.
I am sure glad I had Norm make my Snakebit back when I did cause it would be out of my reach now. I sure like the looks of his new Sitka series.
 :notworthy: That is fantastic!
WOW!!!
Seen those pics. the other day. absolutely stunning.

HOLY BOOGERS BATMAN!!
Talk about a work of art. That's absolutely incredible.
Saw this a few days ago. I had it saved on my phone as my screen saver. I love the wire work. But just too much other stuff in my opinion. "Simple is classy." Gary Hall
Im glad he is coming out with a 16" riser. Its got me thinking..someday...
For sure Norm has arisen the bar,it is something that remind me the Fred Bear Signature-package. For sure most people wouldn't have the gut to take it in the woods but on the backyard!
I like myself the Sitka serie,I am glad to have a couple of Snakebit, the price is gone way up.
Real nice looking bow but like Danny said I hate to by a bow and not shoot it!
Was just walking out of the PBS gathering and looked over at the tag of the guy next to me...Norm Johnson!
That is artwork!
I wonder if he's using a laser engraver or a CNC engraving set up? Anyone know? Those machines do some incredible work....
Google wood engraving tools.... It will blow you away....
What in the world?
That is amazing beyond words!
That is something special.
I'd like to see the limbs..wonder if they do the riser justice...
Amazing looking bow with great detail. I saw it on his website, its the Legacy Series. Good new you can have one for $4,500 plus I think. Inlays, fine detail and hand carved brass bow bolts. Website has some great pics. Also check out the Brook Trout collector arrows, breathtaking fletchings.
Notice Blacktail has a shop in Indiana now and number on site is for that location.
I just heard from a guy that went by his shop to see one in person. He said the photos do NOT do it justice...
When i asked what type of tooling he was doing the carvings with, I was informed that Norm sends those out to have them carved.... "Outsourced" was the word he used..... I'll bet that cost him a pretty penny to have the carvings done too.
I do wonder if it's hand carved or not.
Either way...it looks beautiful.
Good grief! I didn't even know that was possible! :clapper:
The guy that carves these bows is in Europe. All hand carved. The pics really don't do these bows justice. I have held them while attending the PBS banquet. But like others said, the price is staggering. But it is an investment if something to have for years and years.
Hand carved huh...DANG!
...well I gotta ask...what's the price?
It looks awesome. Its a lot like the lazer engraving that Black Wido does but more of it.
Like Kirk said those machines do incredible things.
God bless, Steve
Here is his new website. Check it out. There is lots of eye candy.

:notworthy: That's a beauty !!!!!
Absolutely incredible!
Yes I did.....at the PBS gathering in Cincinnati yesterday. They are simply "Works of Art"!!! If I bought one it would only become a family heirloom as I could never make myself use it in the field. It is just too ornate. Horserod

That was my first impression until this gentleman made the statement they were hand carved in Europe.... I've done my share of wood carving, and i can't even imagine doing that kind of detail by hand......
but i've seen some hand carved chests and other things in the orient that you would not believe. So i guess i shouldn't have assumed it was a laser or cnc job.
Amazing!!!
TTT because it is so nice!
Impressive!!
The bar has been raised
Ever seen such work on hunting gun butt.
A work of art!
Talk about a functional work of art!! That bow would fit in an art museum as easily as a tree stand.
Amazing artistry, I personally just could not take that hunting. Collectible bow.
You don't take a bow like that hunting. Consider it an heirloom. Amazing work. If you think of all the crap, you spent 4500 on in your life, it is not that far out of reach.
P.S. Blacktail makes the greatest recurve out there.
A work of art!
Needs blood on it If I spent that much on a bow or rifle Im going to get my moneys worth out of it.
Looks cool on the wall but would look way cooler on a trophy animal.
I'm with Thumper Dunker on this one
That is pure "Artwork"...that is absolutely beautiful!!!!
i am speechlest
That's un-real!!
I would take it to 3d shoots and gatherings. also, take it out in the woods stump shooting. for hunting, well with kid gloves. But price aside, it's just too flashy for me.
