....Surewood Steve and his service and shafts. I sent out payment on Monday and my Doug Fir shafts arrived today.
Spined 50-55# for my Kempf Longbow, Steve sent me the weight range in raw shafts I wanted PLUS after cutting them down to 28.5", from the lowest weight to the heaviest is only 6 grains. The majority are 2-3 grain difference. Tapered 10" on the nock end.
I plan on going back in time with these. These arrows will be fully dipped white just not sure of the color fletching I want. I'm leaning towards 2 blue and 1 white parabolic. May settle for white and chartruese.
Thanks again to Steve, his fine service and quality shafts. :readit:  :notworthy:
Can't beat that weight range. Time for me to order some of his nice DF shafts! Always good service from Steve for sure!
They are good folks to deal with and they sell a quality product. I give them a
I just switched back to wood after a long stint with carbon. I picked up some surewoods and have been VERY happy with them. I too noticed that they were all closely matched in weight and I didn't have to cull any.
I have a dozen surewoods made up for my Bob Lee, 55-60 four coats of marine grade varnish.

Steve does all the shaft tapering for Surewood's orders on a custom built machine that is in my shop. Steve and I went in halves on it. Usually when they get orders for tapered shafts he shows up that day or the next. He usually boxed them up and ships them out that day. Can't get better service than that.
