I originally, most definitely, wanted a straight limbed Hill bow, but having spoken to Dave I am nowvery interested in his reflex-deflex bow.... oh well, there goes my original plan :)
He says his grips are narrow and that I should have a look for some pics. I cannot find many. I would appreciate it if someone can find the time to post a couple of pics of their bow and in particular the handle. Also, if they wish comment on how they get on with the handle.
Thank you for your time
Alex
well, maybe not then :)
Hold on, soon someone will chime in and post pictures....
There was just a post where I put pics along with others.

Thanks Mike and Brian,
I was a little impatiant, because Iw as going to be away fromt he computer for the rest of the weekend.. Well I am back now....
Looking at his grip, it looks now thinner than my English longbow...
His workmanship looks top knotch. I will ask him if he will do a matte one, as the bow is for hunting. I am also hoping he will do a take down. He's going to have a think about it.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Alex

I just received Dave's Mountain bow and haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Not sure how this grip compares, but here are some pics.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hard to beat a Wallace Mountain. I'll be taking one of mine to KY TradFest this week. What wood is that in your limbs? Is it just stained bamboo or a veneer of some kind?

I was told it's coco handle and boo cores. I'm not sure about the lams.
Bamboo cores. I just couldn't ell what the limb lams are from the pictures. One of mine has stained bamboo--sort of a light brown stain that's real pretty. My other one is red elm.
Dave,
I'm really not sure what the lams are for sure. Maybe I will post some better pics and maybe you can help me figure it out.

Dave,
Here are some better pictures of the limb lams. What do you think they are?
The ad says bamboo core AND veneers.
I remembered because I kept checking the ad to see if it would switch to a lefty. :banghead:
:D

Dear Dennis,
Sorry for not replying sooner. I really appreciate the time you took to take the photos. I will take some of my Bickerstaffe bow for comparison. It maybe of interst to some one. On first sight I would say that the riser is a similar thickness, but the bickerstaffe is noway near as deep.
Cheers
Alex
Alex,
I would like to see pictures of your Bickerstaffe.
Florida,
Thanks for picking up on the lams in the Ad. I didn't read it that closely. I guess I was in too big of a hurry to get my wallet out to pay the man.
Thanks,
Dennis
