Title: Turkey's are fun but come on Bear Camp!
Post by: Jerry Russell on March 26, 2014, 07:14:00 PM
I really love to chase and guide for turkey but hands down my favorite thing to do is live in bear camp. I now find myself siting in the turkey blind and planning out bear camp stands, meals and all the logistics and planning to make it happen. Nothing on this earth brings me more joy than trailing a bear that one of my hunters just stuck with a tradbow.

Come on JUNE!

Jerry, if I was any more exited about my time in camp with you, you'd be able to smell it!

Yes, turkeys will be a diversion for a while, until I get to spend a week in bear country. Bears at 10 yards on the ground with a longbow is good for the heart.

Not much sign of spring here yet.

Looks like I'll be setting up in May... on snow.

On the bright side, hides will be nice longer into the season.

There's a nice big one out there with a white spot that just yawned and turned over.
