Title: Hornes Archery?
Post by: Jhawk on March 24, 2014, 04:16:00 PM
Is Mark still making bows?  I went over to his site today and it looks like he pulled all of his bows off.  The only thing he has listed are his arrows and accessories.

I heard on another site that he is closing shop. I can't remember what it said he was going to do, but I wish him and Sandy all the luck in the world!

I've heard from multiple sources that he is closing shop as well.  The archery community will be losing a good one.  Mark and Sandy are good people.

I agree, it's sad if they have indeed stop making bows. I left a phone message and never got a response. I also sent in an email to Sandy's old email and never got an answer.

I own a 62" combo hunter with longbow limbs and it's a very nice 3pc longbow.

Bummer.  I always wanted one of his Ridgerunners.  I have not shot a ton of different bows, but I really enjoyed shooting his Ridgerunner.  Was a bow that just fit me right.

I believe I read in another post they sold the bow making equipment.

Mark and Sandy are first class folks, wish them nothing but the best...!

I was told by a friend that know Mark that he started working for his brother who is in the oil field business and has the opportunity to make a lot more money due to the oil and gas boom going on right now.
I also wish him and Sandy the best as they had supported the Louisiana Trad. Bowman by attending our shoots and my wife has a number of Sandy's hand made jewelry.

Hope all goes well with Mark and Sandy.  I hunted with Mark in TX once, and yes, he made some mighty fine bows that where sho-nuff shooters and lookers.

He was a great Sponsor here for many years.  I wondered why he hasn't posted in a while.  Probably like me, I'm so busy I don't even get much time to post.

Very sad indeed.  I will treasure the TD longbow I made with him a few years ago.

I believe Mark is not building bows again.

Mark trained a person who has his bow forms and will be selling under the name of Cleland Stickbows. Look up Cleland Stickbows in both Instagram and FB.
