I have located a Martin Dreamcatcher that looks like it might fit my wife. She has small hands and I am wondering whether the grip on these bows is bulky. Any idea?
I have only shot one Dreamcatcher but as I recall the grip would be more on the bulky side...you might be better off giving Mike at Maddog a call and simply get him to build a bow to fit her small hands...you will be pleasantly surprised at his prices

Dave, thanks for the reply. After I posted this thread I came across his site and was very pleased with what I saw. I will be giving him a call this week. Again, appreciate the suggestion!
Mikes longbows are awesome
You could also check out Chad Holm's River Runner, the grip is not to big and the Kodiak copy is even smaller.
In general the Martin bows have a high wrist grip and they feel large. That being said I've seen some of the lighter weight bows have smaller grips. They are hand made so it pays to check each one individually. A Martin Rebel would probably fit better than a Dream Catcher but the Dream Catcher is an eye catcher. Pretty bow.
I have a DC and really like the grip but might be a little big for a lady, depends on her hand size and how she holds the bow.
my wifes first bow as a DC. she still uses it as a bow fishing bow.
She is 5'3 and small hands. It fits her well and she loves the bow.
my 11 year old daughter also shoots that bow alot.
The DC is a very nice bow. However if i knew about maddog bows 13 years ago when i bought my wifes first bow I would of went that route. He makes some awesome bows.
