There are a few bowyers in the States who have a connection with Howard Hill, such as Dave Miller. I assume that they could make me something authentic with the same type of woods Howard hill would use. However, can the same be said of European bowyers?
I would like a Hill stlye bow, which is the same in form and construction as those that Howard Hill would make. I would like this in take down form, because I live in Europe (postage cost) and travel frequently.
Does anyone know a good European bowyer who would make a Hill style bow? I have Styrian from Austria, but they do not seem to make a take down.
Thanks for your input.

Contact Nate Steele at www.BamabowsArchery@yahoo.com (http://www.BamabowsArchery@yahoo.com) He has relocated to Poland. I have a Tribute made by him. It is a Hill style bow and shoots very well. Check out his website at www.bamabows.com. (http://www.bamabows.com.) He has one of the best takedown systems I have seen. If you PM me your e=mail, I can send you pictures of the Tribute.
Dear Bulldog18,
Thank you for that...I will pm you shortly. Poland is very close. Now I am excited... :)

Today's "Hill Style Bows" are different than the bows Hill built. Hill built bows were a bit narrower with the grip deeper from back to belly than today's Hill style.
You may also contact Jim Belcher at Sky Archery, he is from England, now living in the US, his father Jack Belcher designed the "Union Jack" Hill style longbow in England over 50 years ago. Jim may have some good info for you.
Ja I was going to say Styrian. But Nate Steele of Bamabows, if he is now in Poland can make a beautiful Hill style. I love my 'Tribute' 69" 94@29. He finished it in December so I imagine it was one of the last he built before he left! :)
